Well done daisy. :T My OH is supposed to be doing a 10k organised run on Sunday but he's been ill with a chest infection all week and has had antibiotics from the doc. He's been training for months for this and a half marathon a few weeks later and he's adamant he's still doing it. :undecided He is a lot better but not completely clear yet and he hasn't been able to run for a while now so that will affect him too.
Will need to make sure the insurance has been paid. My bad. :rotfl:
Morning all. :wave:Herman - MP for all!0 -
not that he will listen to you but pls tell him to be careful - i was in training for a race 18month ago and got injured a week before but was adamant i was still going to race
i wrecked my leg and had the shame of coming last because i wouldnt give in - pathetic and has taken me till now to heal properly and feel secure that my injury wont come back:j MFi3 wannabee :j

Right, that's it. As of today I need to do something, various changes in my life recently mean that I haven't really been noticing what I've been eating and consequently realise it's all been rubbish. Knowing myself as I do (well a bit anyway) I know that approaches that change my mind set are most likely to work, such as Paul Mckenna, Susan Hepburn etc though these need to be backed up by serious practical help too - they don't really go far enough. Can anyone suggest any other good free resources along those lines?
The other thing is that I need concrete evidence that I'm going right/wrong and have been looking for a spreadsheet that will help me track the loss I'm definitely going to have(!!) but all the ones I find either need knowledge of excel to modify them, don't use stones and pounds or else are too complicated. Can anyone point me in a good direction for one? Google finds loads of them, but having worked through the first 2 pages none seem to be simple enough for simple ol' me! Or any other ideas for tracking? At the moment I've written in my diary the amount I am now, and what I want to be at on every Friday from now on till I lose 2 stones - maybe that's enough but I don't think so.
This is a great thread, I shall go back and read some more of it, if not all to keep me motivated and on track! It's a horrible rainy day so not good for starting a weight loss programme but still, it's the first of the month so ideal in other ways.
Thanks
