Morning all.
Yesterday and today is MOTM time for me (although technically it's not exactly the middle but you know what I mean
). I felt a bit low yesterday BUT I didn't feel angry and although I felt hungry, I didn't feel the need to binge on crap. I had chicken and crackers instead.
Now it's very early days and this time does only last a couple/few days at most and the main event is still to appear so I'm going to reserve judgement until then, but I'm quietly confident there may have been some positive results from the acupuncture. Got another app this afternoon, wonder where she's gonna stick me today.:rotfl:sarah, if this works, I owe you a big kiss for suggesting it.
Held off phoning the hypnotherapist because the next few weeks are so uncertain and the moment, I'm not sure where we'll be staying or when, so no point in making further appointments with someone else I think.
GT.... slap yourself hard for eating those chips and crumble! Bet they were good.
sweet....I went to get that milk, forgot what it was and came home with soya milk.:D
well done elfen, going in the right diection. :T
mazzers.....I'm swinging between feeling pleased for you that it's getting closer to the actual 'doing something about the fibroid' time.....and feeling jealous that you're probably gonna lose an instant half stone when it's removed.:rotfl:
I'm going to go buy some shake powder today from H&B, I intend to order maz's stuff but I want something now so will buy a small 'tide me over' tub I think.
Oh well, forgotten what else I read so I may well have missed out something else I wanted to comment on. Age is a terrible thing. :rotfl:
See you all later.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Afternoon peeps
just time for a quick post before i leave for work, i readthe thread earlier but my minds turned to mush and i can`t remember most of it
Mazzers - Hope all goes well at the docs tomorrow!
Just had a very late brekkie of bacon, scramblies, sausages and mushrooms.
Dinner is salami and cheese that i`ve yet to chop up
Tea is pork in garlic mayo and snacks are pepperami and a lone chicken thigh wihich is lurking in the fridge.
I`ve started off a batch of blackcurrant wine this morning made with the frozen ones from last years crop. There were a few blue berries inthere too so hope its ok. I ended up with juice everywhere hence me being a bit rushed today as i spent ages cleaning up afterwards.
Must dash, have a good day folks.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Old age is indeed a terrible thing, my docs appt is Thur not today
Also, made youngest go for a prezzie for his brothers b'day on June 19th, unfortunately, his b'day is july 19th.. obviously i did know this, i'd just got a bit befuddled
Jeez, out to graze time i think :rotfl:
Been good so far, two, yes two, brazils for brekkie, didnt get to have my shake, rushed to town for a card for my mates b'day.
Just had one egg on one multigrain toast, dunno what dinner will be yet.
My feet are starting to play up, apparently, thats another little treat for the over 50's to look forward to, feet flattening and fat pads thinning (but only on the feet.. dammit )spent £22.50 on shoe inserts/supports as underneath my left heel kills after work, also, i think i have a bunion coming !!!!!!, so spent £8 on a gel cushion for that little beauty.
I have bought six different pairs of 'comfy' shoes for work, all of them leather and none of them cheap, but none of them are.. very, so thought i would try to improve them rather than buy any more.
Have got hush puppies, clarks soft, clarks air walkers, gluv, and earth shoes, if they are comfy on the bunion, they hurt my heels, and the heel comfort ones hurt the bunion so if anyone knows of any more that are good plz let me know.
Well done to the losers, i hope i can lose on this new woe.
My connection seems to be playing up all the time, i think it's talktalk making 'improvements'
Am also getting internet explorer is not responding, all the time :mad: right, off to google why.0 -
Talktalk SUCK! I am stuck with them in an 18 month contract but I can tell you once it's up I'm off and they will never been shown the light of day again. They keep trying to tell me it's a limitation on my line - oh right, so that's why I had perfect broadband from Orange before you idiots took over.
Grr.
Just been to DS's first ever sports day. Cute! Lots of beanbags on heads and clueless looks (that's just the dads).
There's a woman at work who is driving me mad. She's just lost 4 stone on lighter life and has gone a bit mad. She's down to a size 6, talks about nothing but her diet and how hungry she is (she was always like this actually, even at a size 14) and has now started hijacking my diet. She really doesn't need to lose any more weight (she's 55 and already looks haggard) but she keeps buying sachets of hot choc off me and is now going to go to the clinic to pretend she's buying hot choc for me, whereas in fact it's for her. MAD! The thing that annoys me the most is that she keeps talking about my diet to everyone, whereas I prefer to keep it quiet. I didn't say anything for months, it's only because it's so noticeable now that I've had to tell anyone at all. BAH! I get so embarrassed when she comes oever to my desk and whitters on about food and sachets and diets. GET A LIFE!
Also, in other news, I wore a bikini at the weekend. BIKINI! It was really interesting, DH kept telling me I should wear it but I just felt too fat and wobbly. Then when we were swimming he pointed out another woman in a bikini and said, look. YOu're exactly that size. Doesn't she look good? Which gave me the confidence to do it. But I still had my 'fat eyes' on - just couldn't believe I could get away with it. it felt rather good.0 -
By the way. I saw this advertised in Metro this morning, I hesitate to post it here as I suspect it will have nasty bowel side effects... but look:

Grr, I can't get the multi-quote to work for me
alias, I think the soya milk is ok as well, I'm sure Badger used to buy that.
Also, good point about mazzers' half stone fibroid!! :rotfl:
Another also, have you tried Rightmove or VisitScotland for a cottage?? We've been looking for our hols & there's loads up in the Highlands, depending where you want it of course. Could you consider a caravan short-term?? Any private lets in your local paper??
mazzers, you probably can't wear fitflops at work, but I would definitely recommend them for every other time!! They are soooooooo comfortable, I love them.
Sunny, blackcurrant & blueberry wine sounds good to me!!
sarah, yaaaaaaaaaaaay on the bikini!! :j
Aldi didn't have any frozen rasps so I'm shake-less again todayI know I can get some from the co-op (at twice the price) but they tend to give me belly-ache for some reason so I'll just be a martyr & do without.
Decided to have the mini 'pizzas' again instead & I tried the Aldi crackers this time - omg they are gorgeous!! I think they were even nicer than the GG 'pizzas' cos I could really taste the sesame seeds as well, nomnomnom. Wish I'd bought some more mozzarella now as I'm thinking I could have them again tomorrow!!0 -
Hmmm, that decarb thing does look quite interesting, I see there were a couple of celeb 'endorsements' *rolls eyes* Tis not for me though, I'd be worried about the possible side-effects as well.0

seams to be a carb binder, like the Alli tablets are a fat binder
does not seam to work on simple carbs only complex carbs
the only side effect they list is gas
and £75 a month !!
or you could simply not put the carbs in your mouth0 -
