Stompa, I had this conversation with them on the phone on Saturday. Apparently they instigate the DD procedure on the 11th however it can take 3-4 days before the money clears into their acount. This is good newss because it effectively gives you another day or two of interest :D

[EDIT] just had a quick look, it still hasn't been taken from my bank account ... the CS rep on Saturday said he could see that it had been requested though. BTW I have been quite impressed with their CS people so far.

Thanks. Given that my DD for the first month failed due to an error on their part, I wanted to be sure that the second month hadn't failed as well (at least not yet!).

Eureka, it's worked. DD instigated on the 11th, money taken from account on the 16th.

I'm reserving judgement on that until they've refunded the interest and late payment fee imposed when the first DD failed!

Can someone clarify how and when the 3% is 'paid' please. I seem to get different answers from different sources!

Digital, good point, I seem to be earning 3% like there is no tomorrow but never thought to ask when it gets paid ... could it be like Amex and paid out on the anniversary of opening the account ?

just a not for anyone who has been turned down for this credit card, make sure you use your full name, ie use Michael instead of Mike , Jonathon instead of Jon, I applied for this card in the name I normally used and got turned down, then reapplied using the long version of my name and got accepted, it normally doesn't make any difference , but have found on a couple applications it has, so for all of you out there that think they should have been accepted, this may have been the reason
