If you don't mind my asking, did you do anything differerent with the second application? Did you have anything that had changed on your credit history that made you more confident of an acceptance - after all the previous search would likely have been held against you even if they didn't notice it was for GE.I think....0 -
It is now five weeks since I applied for this card and each time I phone to see what is going on I am told that it is still marked as "referral" on their system.
As previously mentioned, I faxed them a copy of my driving licence the same day as I applied, but have heard absolutely nothing from them and I am sick of calling on an 0870 number.
I told the guy this afternoon that I have decided I don't want the card anymore and could he just cancel my application. He said no he couldn't, but just to write "cancelled" across the agreement - if they ever send me one - and post it back to them.
I thought about it and decided I just don't want to have any dealings with such a disorganized company because with something as important as a credit card, I want to be able to rely on them getting it right.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

I applied on Tuesday, received an email that evening stating they were reviewing a few details and I would hear within 2 hours. Since then, nothing.
Anyone else had this?0 -

"Thank you for applying for a GE Money Credit Card.
We are now processing your application and will get back to you with an answer via email. Look out for an email from the GE Money Applications Team!
If you are submitting your application between Monday and Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, we will respond with a decision within 10 minutes. At any other times, we will respond to you on the next business day."
Yeah looks horribly familiar, got this as my 2nd email following application on Thursday morning, and still waiting for the approval/refusal email. Do they email you if it's no, or write snail mail?
This was going to be my "purchases" card - I've been approved for a Sainsburys Visa for my BT card (byebye Barclaycard at ?18%, bye bye Virgin at 13%!!!). Does anyone have any suggestions for a CC for everyday purchases to be paid off in full monthly if I don't get the GE Everyday CC?

[blah blah blah} the thing is, if I'm so b***dy brilliant, why am I still broke?

, but take a very long time to write via 'snail mail'. You can appeal, but they are very slow at hearing the appeal. They took a month to sort out my appeal for the Transformation card, and I've seen reports of people on here waiting 3 months for replies on their appeals for the 'Everyday' card.

Has anyone else tried their GE card in an Asda self-service pump lately? Mine has been refused in the past couple of weeks, as well as being turned down as payment for my Screenselect DVD rental subscription.
No problems anywhere else. Also, when I went to have my car serviced I was sent into the adjoining petrol station to pay. It was the same card terminal that they use for fuel, so that should get the three per cent.0 -
Does anybody know what day the money should leave your bank account if you pay off this card by DD?
My statement says 11th Aug, but I have a suspicion that it doesn't get taken until 4 working days after the date they specify. Can anybody confirm that this is correct please.
ThanksStompa0
