Applied Sunday evening and just got acceptance email this morning.
    Congratulations!

Your application for a GE Money Credit Card has been accepted.
    :j

My credit rating a couple of months ago was 999 out of 1000, but I've since added a Halifax One Credit card and have just cancelled a Virgin.

    I have the following:

    Halifax One - £8K Limit (0% 10 months remaining - £6.9K balance)
    Capital One - £11K limit (3.9% LOB - £4K balance)
Barclaycard - £8,200 limit (0% just ended - £2K balance just been paid off)
Mint - £4,300 limit (Standard 15.9% - Used for General Spending and clear each month) <-- This is going to be replaced with the GE Money Card. :D
    Cahoot - £2K limit - (6.9% - £0 Balance. Don't realy use this card)

I've just cleared and canceled a Virgin Card last month which will probably still show on my report.

The Barclaycard and Mint card will go in the next few month, in preperation for another card at the end of the year.

It would be useful if anyone applying for this new product gave feedback on being accepted/rejected compared to other (better known) cards for comparison. Martin suggests they may be harder to get but only experience will bear out how true this is.
I'm the high earner/house owner/no missed payments etc, but also the stooze tart - and got turned down. My wife earns just over half my income, three other cards currently with modest credit limits - accepted.

I was turned down last year for a Sainsbury/BOS card but have otherwise been given whatever I applied for in the past. No doubt £23,500 on free loan from Capitalone/Virgin has something to do with it.

As far as I'm concerned, thats just fine, as with a second card (for me) that will give us exactly what's required for everyday spending.

Does anyone know what supermarkets GE will allow 3% cash back on?

    Is there a web link?

We buy our food from Dunnes Stores (a NI supermarket) and I wonder will it be counted?

Also will it apply different cash back rates for M&S and M&S simply food stores??

    Thanks in advance

Morrison's scheme equates to 1.5p off a litre. (Useful only if you shop at Morrisons however...)
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries
  • Applied this morning, and just been accepted - and the website says "3% cash back on food A full 3% cash back wherever you buy groceries in the uk. The ideal card for your weekly shop"
