can anyone recommend a good dishwasher - or ones to stay away from...

My Bosch Slimline Classixx has just broken down inside three years :mad:. It gets moderate usage only as I'm a single person household on top of which I clean the filters regularly. I won't buy Bosch again unless they fix it for free. Before that I had a SMEG, that was even worse, broke down after two years, electrical failure. I found the offending broken electrical part but no, they only sold an entire unit for 50 pounds when it should have been 50 pence.

My Bosch Washing Machine seems to be going strong, seven years without problems that's what I expect anyway, I wouldn't call it praise until it gets to ten years.

AEG seem good, or just fork out and buy a Miele.

Best dishwasher in the world is me I have been washing dishes pots and pans for the last 30 years and I am still going strong :j

I've had my Bosch dishwasher 10 years & it's still going strong....

We brought a Miele with a 10 year parts and labour, we use there powder and salt, they also have other cleaners and deodorants.
It can be re programmed to what kind of programme you need, but first off decide what you want the dishwasher for and dont buy one with a programme you wont use or need, you pay for everything. Simple is best.
