Suppliers of domestic heating oil are getting away with daylight robbery. As the inclement weather hits, these companies are hiking the prices by an average of 100% and breaking delivery promises as it suits them. In rural communities people depend on oil for heating - the suppliers should be regulated in the same way as Electricity & Gas companies - and delivery dates should be legally binding.0

(for small service providing businesses, subjected to non agreed delayed payment)
Clients should be obliged to:
- Cover any debt recovery costs (e.g. for hiring debt collectors)
- Pay interest, linked to higher level current business banking overdrafts or business credit card interest

Alcohol is already VAT rated, many things we dont need to exist already are taxed. No party indicated a rise in the election, yet anyone more intelligent than an ant new this was going to happen. Given the reason for increase I look forward to a reduction, when deficit dealt with,an ant has told me this will happen!
Yes, in the same way that Income Tax was introduced to pay for the Napoleonic Wars.0 -
On maturity, some fixed term savings accounts automatically roll over, often on less favourable terms, unless the customer positively opts out, with tight decision margins. Onus should be shifted to banks to obtain a decision from the customer, with cash repayment available to all who do not positively select reinvestment.0

Consumers should not have to pay an APR for car insurance, etc when they choose to pay on monthly instalments rather than the annual fee up front. We are not locked in to this service and we are not taking out a loan. Consumers rather should be incentivised with a discounted option to pay in full as in other countries.0

Too many people are losing money or making hard decisions about their or their families health based on coping financially, very often without the knowing their actual rights or with real support. Usually impractical or impossible to do this when IN hospital, pensioners, new parents, workers need practical immediate advice.0

Annual statements from National Insurance. Money is deducted from my payslip every month, but I have no idea where it went. Apparently millions of payments are lost each year and people miss out. This is particularly important for building up entitlement to state pension. I have absolutley no idea how many weeks / months / years I have paid for now or what this will get me when I eventually retire (in my 70s the way things are going!). Annual statements should be introduced so that people can check the money they are paying has been credited correctly, where this gets you with respect to entitlements, and offering the chance to catch-up for periods not-working.0

We're told not to make it easy for identity thieves but a lot of junk mail comes with application forms already filled in with the recipient's name, postal address, email address and more. Banks seem to be among the worst offenders. This practice should be banned.0

I object to the steady and stealthy way all the utility companies and also some businesses, are gradually taking over use of our privately contracted mobile phones to remind us to read meters etc.0

Finances are forcing some elderly to continue to work, young people cannot get jobs to gain experience.
Let both generations share a job together part time. The pensioner training the younger person sharing experience and keeping some income but with less demands0
