I'd rather see everyone opted out of marketing literature by default & have to make a selection to opt in to marketing & details being shared with [STRIKE]specially selected partners[/STRIKE] anyone willing to bung them a few quid.0 -
Winter Fuel Allowance, a life saving benefit, must stay universal to ensure those who fall through the cracks receive it.
Peter Stringfellow recently complained about receiving this and he wished to repay.
Make repayment an accessible and transparent option. Channel the refunds back into the winter fuel allowance scheme.0 -
Banks get money from the Bank of England at 0.5% but charge anything from 9% to 12% on loans, 19% on agreed overdrafts but pay only.75% to 3% interest on current/savings accounts. Savers should be rewarded by RPI + 2% by law. This can be adjusted when base rate is adjusted.:mad:0

Please ban them - they were designed for use in a casino not on the high street. People are becoming addicted and losing what little money they have.
Also there is a limit of 4 machines in each shop - current effect is that there are multiple shops from the same company on the same road because they can earn them so much money.
It does not seem right to let corporations profit on the misery and addiction of others.0 -
Due to government cuts the funding for young carers two free GCSE courses finishes next year. Through no fault of their own, the children have missed out on their education - putting family first. The cost of the examinations (£179) have to be paid by members of family and from next year the cost of the courses (£380 each) will also have to be paid by family. The children who are able to go to university are lucky they have the opportunity.0

The “Shared Lives” (Adult Placement) Scheme is administered by some council Social Services.

You'd need roughly about 4000 GBP from each adult. I think that would be closer to the mark and how many people can afford that! May be the banks should be made to pay off the debt from their huge profits. It's about time they were made to pay for all the mess they've got us all in.0 -
Banking ID requirements for elderly people with Power Of Attorneys need to address that they are unlikely to have most of the documents listed. No passport, driving license and with utility bills, bank statements and correspondence from both HMRC and DWP all addressed to the attorneys, no them.0
