Spent total of £10 today!
Money in wilkinson on rabbit food, shower gel, and a few bits for xmas present box which will be created this weekend, and some blackboard paint as well.
Not overly happy with myself on that one, but not as bad as it could have been. Debit card now safely out of purse!
Still 3 weeks until payday and internet banking is not all its cracked up to be, am confused about how much I do actually have available!
Ebay summary - PS One sold for a measly £5.51 (thats just appaling!) however I have sold another of my stock items, netting me £1.50. Maybe this will get the ball rolling. Also have about 6 lots to list tomorrow for 5p listing daySo hopefully will end up with some more money in the pot!

awwww thanks very much!
Now if only I could sell the rest of the wee blighters!
Have just been discussing with flatmate ways in which to cope with the gas bills for the winter, as I really don't want to be paying out a lot! I know it'll be high but what I can control, I'd like to!
Have also learnt secret location of green grocers near where we live which is apparently open till 8pm! Also near good quality butchers! Will investigate soon as possible!
Saved money a little today since ate leftover lunch in fridge at work and havent fancied any dinner. So mucho food savings there!
Am also in process of counting up wee change pot! Full of silver pieces to see how much I've got there!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFgirl I use internet banking to keep track of what has gone out - can't use it as any kind of planner. I have a spreadsheet set up - 1 row a day, couple of colums in, couple of columns out each day. I have all my regular bills on it, plus a set amount of cash each week, and £175 a month for petrol  which I pay for at the time on credit card.
Apart from reconciling with the internet I pay no attention to how much is in there on a daily basis - what intersests me is how much is in there the day before pay day - that's what really counts.
You like playing with spreasheets - go on, do it!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I'm not quite that dab' hand at speadsheets, just yet!
I thought internet banking was supposed to be the be all and end all!
Just spent £9 in tescohowever should give me potato stapple for a fir few meals yet, plus also bought little treat for the staff at work who have done extra hours because two members of staff havent been showing up!
Also got some plain flour for creating salt dough wonders during my weekend off! Should be fun..... i hope!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Good morning !:j
Sorry for my absence lately, been on holiday from work and taking my folks for days out etc ....
Just to offer my services here, would you like me to knock you up a little spread sheet to help you know where you are with your monthly bills etc ?:A
I've been using a very simple one for a few years now and it helps me to see exactly where I am, with regard to pay days, monthly bills and also how to plan any expenditure ....0 -
Can I also suggest ..... ( you were talking to your flat mate about the cost of winter energy ...)
That you look into paying a set ammount each month to your gas and electricity company. Think its called budget plan or something
Perhaps other members of this board now more about it
Just a though ??????0 -
All thoughts welcome and well received here!
I've got a couple of spreadsheets for my debts, which have got monthly payments etc and total owed remaining for each month.
Is a bill one going to look pretty much the same. I've also got a budget spreadsheet but to be perfectly honest, it's gone completely to pot. I dont seem to follow it at all. The only things that are right, are rent, bt etc.
I was having convo with flatmate in the hope that she will start switching things off! She's a standby queen! and it drives me nuts! Seems on-board with the heating thing though, and is buying herself a wee electric one for her bedroom so with any luck we wont really need it on very much at all! I refuse to put it on until at least october!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Right!
Bright and early start for me today, I've already been out to doctors, to post office and to sainsbury's, in search of oreo cookies for bf's bday present.
So don't need to leave the house anymore today
I'm off to do the washing up and general tidying before I unleash salt dough upon my world!!!
Should be fun.
On a more MSE note, I've spent £17 today............. not good at all!Bit disappointed with myself on that one, i think I need to start being very careful because I'm running the risk of sinking very quickly again!
Two utility bills now to pay, but they may have to wait until the end of the month..... one has only just arrived so I doubt they epect paying immediately. I really do need to get this budget malarky sorted!
I'm doing really badly again. Wheres ZTD when you need 'em!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
