OK time for a kick up the a$$ here people.

Since being paid I've totally fallen off the wagon and spent money, that I didnt need to, and should have spent somewhere else, i.e on my debts.

I've also been really lax on doing anything to save myself some dosh, i.e I've got a bag full of refunds to do, that have been waiting about 2 weeks + to be done!

I was really hoping that after being paid, and the extra I'd get paid I would really make an effort to pay things off and really start making some in-roads and I've just been totally pants with it all!

    ARGH!
Angry at self, and now my spreadsheet dreams are dwindling!

Write down the things that you need to do and tick them off as you do them. It sounds like you're a "visual" sort of person and so that would help.

Don't be angry with yourself - it's self-destructive, and it may also lead to "treat" spending. Just calmly write down everything that needs sorting and then calmly sort it. If you have any more presents to buy - then write down what you're going to buy before you even get within site of the shops.

What sort of stuff have you being wasting your money on? What was your mood when you were buying them? Can you spot any sort of pattern?

I've actually been quite happy spending the money in the moment, probably because I feel like I've gone for so long without any!

Which is a crock of s$&* anyway because i've obviously already spent plenty of credit hence the debt!

As for what I've been buying I cant really remember, few bits of clothing, a meal out,and quite a few xmas presents.

After my post I did exactly what you recommended Z, I've got a list of returns, what needs paying, posting etc, and its not a long list by any means so should be easily done in an hour or so.

Tomorrow when I'm back in work I will definitely do my expenses claim, which will make my bank balance seem a little friendlier I think :)

Right well following on from the kick up the royal that I gave myself.

    Today I have
1.Paid an additional £30 off my Debs store card
-Plus returned £56 worth of goods for refund onto the store card
    2. Paid an additional £30 off my D.P store card
-Plus returned a top for £9.60 refund onto store card
    3. Paid an additional £70 off my Debenhams staff card
It doesnt get spent on, but has most horrendous APR of everything!
    4. Paid gas bill £26.29

    I have yet to:
Post Ebay item (tomorrow during P.O trip at work)
Post cheque to water company (as above)
Post DVD rentals back (as above)
Email council regarding a refund for monies paid. Its circa £100 woohoo

I have also added to the list for tomorrow:
Collect all expenses for work trips.
This includes three taxi fares and train fare, circa £70 on that one :)

So feeling a little bit better on that front. I dont feel like I've totally wasted all my extra pay from work this month, although I did give myself an awful lot of treats!

Must behave from this point on!
I've also got to heat through some part baked rolls this evening to make sandwiches for work tomorrow, so that should save me some cash straight away.

I was quite sadly excited to update my spreadsheet as well, I know how much Eager (and everyone) loves a good spreadsheet, I've now got involved with colours and bold and italic for totals and whats been paid etc.

    Seemingly happy right now!

    Evening All,

Well I managed to claim back the expenses so thats £50 thats sitting in my handbag screaming "Spend Me".

Now half tempted to leave it in a safe place to use to hotel etc when I go to Cardiff middle of Dec..... or do I pay it into account? Umming and ahhing....

Not very debt free wannabe, and I feel I'm losing my touch just lately, lots of waffling again.....

Didnt manage lunch into work because totally forgot to sort out the rolls, and had to be at workreally early this morning to meet the board of directors. Really lovely chaps, and they seemed to love me and the shop so very happy there.

Must do it for friday. Mum is meeting me tomorrow so lunch will be on her :)

So people, any suggestions for what my next step might just be?

Pay it into your account, then withdraw it in the middle of December.
