Pants!
I havent actually made in-roads into clearing anything!
I hope you're not comparing your old "incomplete" debt with your knew "everything counted" debt...CAFCGirl wrote:What the hell have I been doing?
Just existing?
I know my payments to the CC's are made than the minimum but I'm obviously getting clobbered by the interest rates on this.
Had a look at my online credit card statement and the interest is basically £35, and my standing order is for £50, so technically I'm only paying £15 off that debt per month!
Well, have you tried phoning them up and asking for lower interest rates?
Getting rid of the PPI will help your cashflow don't forget that...CAFCGirl wrote:I'll also admit to using the CC2 last month for food etc, as again I still cant control myself..............
You can. Your emotional state is improving. With feeling in control you will be in control.CAFCGirl wrote:I am now

Don't forget - that's a maximum DFD date. Undoubtedly you'll find little bits and bobs to bring it forward even further."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

AH HA!
I've been spending my whole afternoon and early evening reworking and calculating budgets etc etc.
Calculated DFD with BT to Morgan Stanley and without.
With some re-working and some serious budgetting, I think I can now aim for December 2007, excluding the loan as no overpayments allowed.
Even managed to work in quite a hefty allowance for myself of £125. But this is still fairly rough as I dont know exactly how much I'm getting at the end of this month. As it'll be 5 weeks owed plus Im not sure my tax code has been adjusted in time.
Almost need to just wait it out for next friday.
Amazingly I actually still feel in relative control of this situation.....
Haven't crumble, no lip trembling, I'm doing well!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi C - not sure if this would help you - it's a meal planner and may cut down your weekly spend if you take 10 mins on a Sunday to think carefully about what you are going to buy for the week:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/te...705571033.aspx
Has saved us £20-£30 a month since we started to do it and once it's in your routine, you will never again just wander to the supermarket with no idea what you're aiming to buy.
Batch cooking has helped too, not to mention cut down cooking time. You can make a batch of chicken curry for £6 that will make around 9 or 10 individual portions. Spag bol - £7 will make around 8 portions or more if you pad it out with lentils and grated carrot, mushrooms etc. Plus cooking de-stresses and keeps you ou of the shops on a saturday afternoon - that productive 'I made this' feeling stays with you, too!
Hope it helps

You are in control of this situation. You have a problem, a solution, and a plan. Now you just need to implement it.CAFCGirl wrote:Haven't crumble, no lip trembling, I'm doing well!

awwww thanks Moozie! Have a couple on me, go on treat yourself!
Had a good weekend all round, work is going really well, and had a super day today so I'm super happy. Even got to flirt with a customer....
Eager- Tried the link but wasnt working, might be my techno-phobia though!
Had a play about with some meal ideas and did a mock shop on asda and teco website to see how much it would cost. I think I can do a very good shop for £20 a week working to a plan, which will actually work out at £10, since my new flatmate is all for the meal planning etc etc, and is super loving the budgetting for the flat/house in general.
She wears jumpers too so overall costs in bills should go down!
