  • Whoa CAFCGirl - you're making me want to...get... motivated - a necessary thing! I need to properly re-categorise and, er, reduce spending asap... managed to somehow end up with just £20 to last me til end of the month and am also relying on Quidco a bit... This is because I was naughty and went to Amsterdam with friends last weekend and spent too much... :naughty: and also because I bought too many clothes this month... my spreadsheet below IS good, if unlike it's creator you don't go on a spending spree.... :D:D  Give it ago and maybe we can spur eachother on - how much do you allocate yourself for clothes a month? Dinners out? Hair & Beauty? Movies & outings? Pop money into each 'category' (ie: saving account) when you get paid - I now have 5 savings accounts. Then each time you spend on your main account, remove that amount from the relevant savings acc... takes one call to your bank to set up some saving accounts :T

Good luck sorting the PPI anc clearing your littler but more expensive credit card - also, how about a pic of the statue of liberty on your fridge or somewhere you will see it often - like on your debit card :D Joke, but, it could work...

I know I know, please dont shoot me. I just cant seem to get my head around it all!

I was going to allocate myself £150 per month for food, and myself, and see what happens there!

If you're having such problems with the budgeting, why don't you take a step back from it, and meal plan instead?

Fixed meals = fixed ingredients = fixed costs.

    Want to try that?

ZTD - have you thought of becoming a life coach (said only 1/2 in jest.....).

CAFGirl, you've had a very stressful 6 months or so. Instead of saying how crap you are can we have a list of your achievements please????? Starting with new job & more money, especially important bearing in mind the crap you went through in last job. Then - how much have you paid off your debts since you started this diary. etc etc.

And def meal plan cos we are all nosey!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I agree with ali007 :) A little more focus on what you have achieved and the world will seem a brighter place :)

You are doing well, just keep reminding yourself that ;)

:) I dont seem to be able to plan, thats my one problem really.

    meal plans, budgets etc.

I love the support though and I know I've achieved much more than I would have if I hadnt found this site.

I'll have a jot out and work out tomorrow how much I now owe, and let you all know.

Quick update. Flatmate is prooving elusive with the bill money. She told me she was getting it to me on tuesday, I sne ther a text when I finished work (she was working later) to ask her to get it. She's just come home with her twin in tow, and just flatly ignored me and no bill money offered up!

Im starting to get really annoyed now!

It should be said 100% in jest. Not with my life...

It's a mess, and getting messier - but at least I'm rather happier than I have been for a long while.

    Lets all think happy thoughts.

My one achievement that I would like to applaud myself for is that I now have a business card!

And no I didnt make them myself on one of those machines.

They're real company ones! OOOOOOOOh I do feel important now!
