Oh have also just applied for a new cc, which will give me 3.9% life of balance. So hoping to transfer over my Abbey cc if that gos through.

Saving me a fair old amount on that one! Then I'll be clearing as much as possible off the two store cards, one should be clear by xmas!
Whatever remains on the other (D.P) I can BT that over to the 3.9% card too as long as its before 02/07.

Feel I've got more of a spark back now. Had a chat with my boss from work yesterday, and so feeling quite a bit better. Ready to take on the world etc!
And BF behaving himself would you believe!

Yes, you have. You've had it for a little while - but its certainly getting much stronger of late. When/what do you think it stems from? Your job move?

Of course. He's less likely to mess with you now, because he's so much less likely to get away with it.

I think it is a lot to do with the job move, plus getting the flatmate out, and all round just feeling like I'm becoming more of an adult, and having my head screwed on enough to know and be aware of whats been happening... like with the depression, hypogylcemia etc....

So heres to the up and up!

So would it be fair to say, the more in-control you are, the happier you are?

    Very fair indeed I say....

Everything was pretty much removed from me before hand, I didnt feel I had any part in any of the things that were happening to me, and I hated that...

If it had actually been my fault than it would have been different:p

However every so often something crops up to knock us all down, felt like I had more knocks than hands helping me get back up...

Aside from all the beautiful and wonderful people on here. You people have honestly saved me from myself

    Ok Hows this for scary..........

I dont think my debt has actually reduced at all!

    ARRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I know when I first added it all up I didnt include certain things but I've just done it all and I'm actually in debt by £7399!!!!

    Pants!
I havent actually made in-roads into clearing anything!

What the hell have I been doing?
    Just existing?
I know my payments to the CC's are made than the minimum but I'm obviously getting clobbered by the interest rates on this.
Had a look at my online credit card statement and the interest is basically £35, and my standing order is for £50, so technically I'm only paying £15 off that debt per month!

I'm annoyed now..........

More at myself for tricking myself into thinking that just because I was more aware how much debt I'm in, I havent actualy actively done anything about it!

I'll also admit to using the CC2 last month for food etc, as again I still cant control myself..............

    I am now

    ROYALLY Pi$$&D OFF!

This now calls for some serious action, not thinking CAFCGirl.

    ACTIONS!!!

  • Oh no! Have you tried changing your CC to one with zero interest? then you will at least be paying off some of the bulk rather than the interest? I have just got an amazon card which is 9 months interest free on balance transfers. I am the same as you though, i resort to using mine for paying for food when I want a treat, this frugal lifestyle is rubbish - I hate it!!!

I've got a rubbish credit rating. Although this morning I did chance an application with Morgan Stanley, 3.9% till 2010 on BT, So I'm praying that goes through!

I've redone an entire tracking spreadsheet with my day today, using my online debit card statement to find where Im spending my money. Astonished that I spent £100 last month on food, and still didnt eat particularly well!

I kind of want to cry, but I'm in too much of a panic to cry LOL!

I've redone snowballing and exlcuding my loan which I cant overpay on, my DF date is now July 2008! Just as well I found all my APR's, otherwise I'd still be going through with my head in the clouds!

  • Good luck with the Morgan Stanley application, I havent done the snowball thing yet, how do I go about it? I am very scared to know when my Debt Free day is though!!

Dont cry, try and think about the positive things in your life - like its Friday today !!!! (the fact that I only have one hour 20 mins left to work today is cheering me up no end!)

    Chin up

PS July 2008 will come round really quickly!
