Big and very gentle (((hugs))) Penny pincher. Lots of extra rest and hopefully you will heal quickly and feel loads better.
Welcome to Layla! I do the 2 cup for 1 t bag thing when I am alone, dh insists on 1 tea bag each! I make him put both bags into the pot so we get extra cuppas!
The carpet is here and fitted! :j:j It is lovely to walk on so comfy! Mind it is a tad orangy! Feels a bit like we have been tangoed! Thought I ordered rust coloured but I guess with magnolia walls and fresh white painted woodwork, it is being reflected back and is brighter!Well we will get used to it or it will fade! Main thing is the house is warming up again!:T Penny is happy as well and snuggled up under the radiator.
Well done on your bargains JackieO, I guess it is all about timing isn't it!
Right off for another :coffee:

Welcome back Pen Pen,you and Pink do a great job,you must need a lot of patience sometimes. It must take up a lot of your free time too,so thanks for volunteering. We all need our OS board.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Welcome Layla! I used my teabag to make a cuppa for me and dd - does that count! Shame I have an expensive Illy habit - damn those French cafes leading me astray!
Aussie - I just chop and freeze in bags, find a good bash on the freezer lid separates them pretty well! Mmmmm really liking the sound of toffee vodka now, guess what I'll be getting when I go and fetch oh later!
Penpin - ouch ouch ouch! oh cracked some ribs and is in very rude health, yet was in total agony so you must be really suffering. I hope that your meds start to help soon and that the pain and bruising fade quickly xx
NMM - what a kind gesture to drive it all the way to the buyer's door, and to help her out so much, just shows that there are really generous people in the world)
Well apple and mincemeat braid is done, it's even bigger than last time, really need to remember just to divide the mix next time and make two or three! dd3 decided she'd like apple crisps, so we've dug out the dehydrator and bunged in apple and pear slices - and banned the kittens from the kitchen and they keep trying to sit on it, whilst it is warm it's also a bit noisy so can't quite understand it! Neighbour dropped by to discuss travelling supper and apparently wanted to talk about something else, but couldn't cos dd3 was here - just wondering if I'm in trouble now (she's lovely but quite headmistressy lol!), guess I'll find out soon enough!
Right into the bath now and then to finish the dining room!

Afternoon all
Pen-pin ((((Hugs)))) hope you start to feel better and less sore soon.
Diva - the fish dish sounded yummy, I have some smoked haddock in the freezer that I may try somethink similar with. Thanks for the inspiration!
Layla - welcome you will like it here, everyone is so helpful and friendly!
Jayne - the kitten idea is great, please can we see photos when you eventually get him/her?
Mummysaver - I have raspberry gin and blackberry vodka on the go but might just have to try the vanilla too, do I add sugar as well as the vanilla pods?
I have read all the Twilight books (borrowed from my DD) and did enjoy them, although I didn't expect to - and I am 50 odd lol! Am currently reading a Mark Billingham which I got from the library after seeing his name mentioned frequently on here and am enjoying it - so thanks to those who have mentioned him in the past.
Been doing the usual day off things today, cleaning, washing, shopping etc. Sc on at the moment with chicken curry for tea and I am also making a WW zero point curry to use up bits of left over veg in fridge. Had HM carrot and coriander soup for lunch with HM bread roll - very warming on a grey day!
Right off to do some surfing for Christmas present ideas!
Have a good afternoon all

"I love reading paranormal romance books usually but the Twilight series was/is a good read. I have actually read all the books twice heh.
I'm married but if I was single...I would eat up that Robert Pattinson hehe. Yum!"
My DD (17) has a full size poster of him on her wall !!!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Afternoon all.
Pen-Pin ouch, ouch and mega-ouch! Cracked ribs are no joke, I know. No, you're not stupid, it was just a very unlucky thing to happen. ((((very gentle hug))))
Cranky others have said it all, and far more eloquently than I'd manage, but you do have my admiration; you're coping so well, holding it together for young George.
Layla hello and welcome.
RosyRed paws crossed for DS interview. Mr LW was out of work for 11 months, so I know exactly how rotten it is.
Molly best of luck with the retirement stuff. It's a pain while you're doing it (been there, a decade ago) but once it's over you can relax a bit.
Ended up making cakes last night - I hadn't noticed there was insufficient for Mr LW's lunchbox today. He did help with fetching all the bits and pieces for me though.
Pizza for tonight's dins - I have an alarm set in my PDA to take the base out of he freezer - my brain is so out-of-it just lately, I'd forget otherwise.
I have a Mensa meeting to go to tonight - think I might just sit back and let Mr LW do all the talking (actually, I usually do this anyway) - I'm just so muzzy-headed, I'd be in danger of being chucked out of the Society!!:D
(((HUGS))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
