Penny Penguin I'd just like to echo what others have said; you and Pink-Winged do a great job here.

I tend to confine myself to the OS board and Disability & Dosh, as I don't find these too scary,:o and I've learned SOOOO much from the good folks on OS.
    Hope you're OK mate.

Another one here that is very pleased to see you back :)
  • Hi Guys!

It's been a horrible 3 days for me. I fell on to my metal bedframe post Monday morning and smacked down on my chest. My legs just went and was using my sticks:confused:....anyway, I was due up the hospital anyway to see consultants and between them, my blood results and fall, they admitted me:eek::eek::eek::eek: Had a chest xray done and I had cracked ribs and chipped collar bone. My bone density is poor with the oestioparosis (sp) and high steroid useage and my upper body is a nice shade of blue with being on warfarin. I am so stupid! Luckily I have been on bone strengthening infusions for a few months to have other treatment so it could have been worse. I am struggling to move at all atm as it hurts so much even with heavy drugs. Lots of other stuff going on but wont bore you with it all but just wanted to say hi:D

Cleaner is here atm so house is clean and shiny. WM has been on twice and put on the line by OH.

Cranky & George-Hugs to you both.

    Hope everyone else is okay.

    PP
    xx

    Afternoon all,

Been crazy buzy, by the time I finished work last night had just enough time to get ebay sorted before little one woke with the cough yet again!,
Have got rid of ALL the old baby stuff to just one lady after chatting to her on ebay

she was after the cot but pretty skint so have given her all baby things, pram clothes, high chair carseats bedding and mattress etc etc for just £300 inc hubby driving it down to london some 250 odd miles!!, should do her for everything the baby needs and almost totally empty the loft and get hubby 60% towards his vegas fund.

Came on to say big hugs to Cranky, never properlly spoke to you as I unfortunatly joined at the beginning of your sad times but you seem like such a wonderfull person, hope all is as well as it possibly could be and agree with everyone elses thoughts that a kitten is a wonderfull last gift/playmate and confidant for your son. Don't really know what else to say other than you have been in my thoughts and I greatly admire you for your strength during such a hard time (((huge huge hugs)))

Ohh and welcome to Layla, Im a newbie here too and everyone here is really lovely & supportive as the whole daily thread shows!!

Just a quick question for Mummysaver & Haribo do you open freeze the diced onion before placing in a container for the freezer?
(I do this for capsicum as it's clumps in one big heap if you don't  <- past experience)

I made toffee vodka last year & it was nice. Had to mix it with milk & ice though. Tasted like a caramel milkshake. :D

I've made toffee vodka, we serve it in schnapps glasses, in small doses!
