just applied for a 2nd one online and seems to be ok. doubt will have chance to apply for a 3rd before the deadline of 1st november though and worried it will cause a problem opening all 3 within a week!
as far as any one knows, halifax are not planning on closing multiple accounts if they were opened before the deadline are they??MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

That said, there are no plans to downgrade or close accounts for those with more than two. My personal view is that at some point in the near future they will restrict all customers to two Reward Current Accounts (it is only fair). But I don't think it's going to happen too soon because of the major current account changes in December , and I would have thought a detrimental change would require two months notice.0 -
I have three Halifax Reward accounts.
With the current terms and conditions it should be possible to open another three with Bank of Scotland. However, my applications were declined (I've tried several times and spread a couple of weeks between my applications).
Has anyone succeed to get three Halifax Reward accounts plus another three from Bank of Scotland?0 -

No that won't work.
In the early days of these accounts some managed to open 3 Halifax and 3 BoS Reward Accounts.
Most of then later reported the excess accounts being closed.
The system will now not allow you to open more than 3 in total as you have found.0 -
oh well just chanced it and opened a 3rd reward account! feel real cheeky doing it, but tbh will have a purpose for the 2 additional ones as going to use one to fund the share dealing account and another for putting a bit of money aside each month for holiday spending money, (ie £10/20 here and there)
and then just bounce £1000 each month on top in and out the accountsMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

tbh if i pay in and leave money in there will probably be £10 in each account each month any way (that includes their £ 5 interest lol) as an emergency cash fund incase my natwest debit card plays up, so i dont have to transfer from my propar savings accounts
and the share dealing funding one will have the money paid in and then they will xfer to share dealing account a couple days later so wont be there long anywayMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0
