Halifax Reward Account - multiple applications

I opened my 2nd & 3rd within a couple of days of each other with no problems.
I too opened my 2nd and 3rd accounts within minutes of each other.
I was an existing online customer and i was able to open all 3 Reward accounts, online, within 4 days!MortgageMay 2014 - £255,000.00Jan 2015 - £251.589.00O/P To Date £194.040 -
the additional 2 i opened yesterday seem to be fine, both have been called reward current accounts so thats 3 opened since sunday.
just to make sure i understand clearly, the £1000 into the account does not have to be from an external bank and can just be transfers between the 3 reward current accounts???
or do i have to do external bank to halifax1, halifax 1 to external acc, external account to halifax 2, halifax 2 to external account, then extrernal to halifax 3 etc??
also some final questions (sorry)
1.do halifax issue debit cards on all the accounts if you have different ones or just the one, and
2.do the cards have the account numbers (as natwest/rbs debit cards dont have them on theirs) and have no idea how i will know which is for which account if they dont
3. how long does it usually take for the card to come through as i want to link the one account to my halifax share dealing account and they ask for card number etc for payments to be taken on the share builder partMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

Yes, internal transfers are fine. So if your salary is being paid into Reward 1, then transfer £1k instantly from Reward 1 -> Reward 2 -> Reward 3 -> Reward 1, picking up last month's fivers on the way. That's how I do it0 -
thanks for the replies both, i appreciate it.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0

My application has been turned down, I dont know why. I rang the online to enquire why it still says application decision in my account and they said its been declined, not sure why as I have all my banking stuff with them
I'm concerned in case it might have something to do with a credit check but I shouldnt fail one of those anyway.
I have 2 reward accounts, 1 cardcash account but I havent yet sent in the signed application form for the 2nd one yet or been able to fund it because of that. He said he couldnt tell me why and said go into my local branch to askThanx

Have you got overdraft facilities on the two you have opened and did you request an overdraft on the third?
If so that might be why they declined.
Otherwise it's probably because they don't want too many more people opening accounts just for the fiver!
Don't know why you cant fund the second one. I funded all three of mine immediately after opening them on line. I don't remember ever having to sign and return any paper work.
Maybe they don't already have a copy of your signature?0 -
I rang the local branch and he said it is most likely because the 2nd application hasnt been funded yet and I applied for that on 6th, I know2 I'm running out of time but have difficulty getting out due to mobility problems as mentioned before. I have not asked for an overdraft on any and already had my main account with them without overdraft by choice before these applications.
It is a bit odd because I applied for an isa online and they sent me something to sign and go through all that rigmarole yet my daughter applied online and it was there instantly and like you she was able to fund it. For some reason I always have to sign documents
He also said that it might also be because they are not allowing more than 1 single and 1 joint reward account with them very soonThanx

Daughter has just confirmed that she has made an application for a rewsrd account online and funded it straight away in 2 minuyes why do I have to sign agreements?Thanx

You mention that you already have your "main" account with them.
Why not call and get that redesignated as a reward account? Then you will have 3 rewards.0
