    Deefer.

    D fer dog.;)

My black lab (died a few years back now sadly) should have been called,

"Satanspawn destroyer of skirtingboards and all things below waist hieght"
    when he was a pup.

Or "ConstantComaBake my head on the hearth" when he got older:rolleyes:

Maybe that's just the posture she adopts (ie face down)
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Our new puppy is going to be called Bailey as its is a Blenheim Cavalier King Charles brown and white hence the colour of Baileys drink. So maybe Guiness?
"Six by nine. Forty two." "That's it. That's all there is."

  • Especially, as to my mind, Buttercup should be a cow's name not a dog's. Your typical stereotype obviously has a sense of humour. Or is blind

In Greek the word "black" is mavro. I rather like that

what did you call your pup in the end?
  • Still haven't named her. Don't panic we don't collect her until the 14/11 had to postpone for a week because my builders are still here and didn't fancy the combination of builders and puppy.

My son wanted to call her shelby, but I am concerned because we have a cat called sherbert which gets shortened to sherbie. Think the dog will get confused when I call the cat in.

Going to read back through all the suggestions and see which we like best. Thanks

Awww, some lovely suggestions .... how about .... (black) Magic (my parents had springers called Magic and Trix) or Dyson (probably a boys name though), I like the suggestion of Peppa (although my daughter is mad on peppa pig lol). I also like Onyx, Jedda (both black gems I think), Ebony, Spook, Boo and Mellie (greek).

I love labradoodles and would love to get one but have to convince my OH first. We went away last week and some people on holiday had 2 (a pup and mum) and they were gorgeous. Would love to see some photos when you get her home. :D
