Help. We collect our puppy in 3 weeks and can't think of a name

We are getting a female black labradoodle but sadly we can't think of a name for her. I never did have any imagination. I don't want just an ordinary girls name, want it to be a little bit different. Must be something that husband won't mind calling as well. Thought it would be fun to receive some suggestions.

We're a vegan family. We do cloth nappies/wipes, dabble with ECing, use toiletries without parabens/SLS etc, co-sleep, baby-wear, BF, BLW, eco-ball laundry, and we plan to home educate (ideally not at home too much - we want to travel the globe).:starmod:

Wait till you have her home, I find naming a dog is like naming a baby - you get to see them and their name just pops in your head

We have already spent hours with her, but nothing has come to mind. I was hoping it would when I saw her, but brain is blank, bit like when I used to sit exams at school, nothing seemed to be there!!!!!

I'm with kayke_dee on this one. I search African animal names, words etc or if it was say a GSP then I might err on a germanic name.

Labradoodle.....so you want a French Canadian name?

Trixie-Belle is a nice name. Also its good for variations. I usually call my dog Trix instead of her full name but she knows when call her Trixie Belle that she better come to me straight away as she is about to or has done something wrong.

That's what I was going to call my pup when I got one  but...... it was a boy.....so he got Max instead!!

I don't think it's too "fluffy" so that your man won't mind shouting her or go for something like Loulabelle if you want to really embarrass him!! ha ha!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

You know what i'm going to say of course, Chaya! Meaning shade/shadow so appropriate for a black dog, also meaning beauty/lustre in Sanskrit & life in hebrew & pretty unique!
