How do you know it is them that is ripping you off hundreds of pounds? If someone else has signed for and nicked the tickets how is that Ticketmasters fault? Surely it is Royal Mail's fault?

or datapost (who ticketmaster use) or another courier?
or one of the many missaddressed items ticketmaster send out with every large mailing?

    Can anyone help/give advice please?
I bought 2 tickets for Robbie Williams through Ticketmaster last year- £98 in total(!!). I had just moved but since I had not yet managed to sell my house, my mortgage and offset bank account still held the old house as my address, despite me living 200miles away in rented accommodation.
I stated to Ticketmaster on ordering that my billing address was different to my delivery address.
I arranged post redirection through Royal Mail.

However I have now discovered that:
    a) Ticketmaster will only use the billing address for delivery for 'security' reasons
    b) Royal Mail post redirection does not apply to Special Delivery
    c) The new owners who bought my house a few months back with great animosity and who caused never-ending problems have signed for my tickets (I have seen the signature on the post offices Tracker page) but say they returned to sender and left a very threatening message stating I must not contact them about this again..
    d) Ticketmaster say they do not have the tickets and it is no longer their problem (when I EVENTUALLY got through to customer services) and I should ring the police claiming fraudulent activity. Since it is standing venue they cannot reissue tickets or refund them
    e) Royal Mail say that for Special Delivery anyone at the address on the envelope can rightfully sign for the tickets on the first attempt at delivery, and ID is only requested for the 2nd attempt (??), and the last track they have is the delivery to my old house.

So now with 3weeks to go, I am without tickets and without anyone accepting responsibility for them.
    Any advice???
    Thanks

    redirections apply to SD items

ID is not requested for any delivery to the address, mail is delivered to an address not a person
who told you redirections dont apply to an SD item?
  • Although they charge extortionate prices I have never had a problem with Ticketmaster. They deliver to me via courier, I receive a free text the day before they are to be delivered and a text the day of delivery reminding me to be in. They have an incredibly friendly driver who always jokes that he has Kylie Minogue tickets for me and I have to provide ID before he gives me the tickets, despite knowing me pretty well now.

Never any problems and I am happy knowing that my tickets will arrive safely

service charges pay my wages, they take no money off the face value of the ticket and are a third party ticketing company.

Just wanted to say that it is worth complaining with Ticketmaster. I had a problem with two tickets that I had bought for a concert and after writing to them and explaining the problem they gave us two complimentary tickets for a concert of our choice. We are very regular users and this is the only time we have needed to complain, but they did come through for us.

We had tickets delivered registered from ticketmaster in May,for the Hyde Park Eric Clapton concert last month. I don't understand why they are using different methods of delivery. We paid the £5 per ticket as well-rip off but as you have said, what choice do you have?
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
  • I just tried to book TICKETLESS parking through the O2 for an event. Ticketmaster are the only company who sell this, and there is no option other than TICKETLESS. The charge is £20 (fine), with a £2.50 service charge (to be expected), BUT they are charging £2.25 for postage!!!!!!!! It says everywhere on this booking that no tickets will be posted, you just have to put your credit card in the machine at the car park and it will let you in. Bt you can't actually book tickets online without choosing a delivery for £2.25. How shocking is that!!

I paid £2 for the 'delivery' of paperless tickets last weekend. They charge you for delivering your tickets to your inbox! shocking, I know. And definitely not a system glitch!

I have my own beef with ticketmaster at the moment. I have an account with them as I use them regularly to buy tickets, so store all my card information on there to making paying quicker. Anyway, I went to buy some Jimmy Carr tickets today and after processing the payment I got an 'error, expiry date invalid' message. I've just had a new card issued which means new expiry date, issue number and security code, so I went to update my details before trying to pay again. But, when I clicked 'edit' next to the card details, it would only let me edit my name and address details, I couldn't change the card numbers or anything else. Tried entering the new issue of the card as a completely new card, but it then brought up the 'this card already exists on this account' message. So what are you supposed to do?!

After MUCH searching for a solution and trawling through the FAQs (you can't email customer services without looking through FAQs either!) I sent an email and am awaiting response, which should be within 24 hours!
  • Be very very careful when you buy online from Ticketmaster. They sneak in a Mondial Ticket Insurance - it's not an option to "tick to accept" but "untick not to accept" so you get conned. I tried to get my Credit Card to refund for insurance I did not actively ask for, but Modial blocked it. This is a problem even in USA, with complaints galore in US websites. I know I will stop using Ticketmaster
