I wish you luck in getting your tickets but those sneaky !!!!! will find a way round it. Not unless you put a huge lawsuit with top lawyers would things/ethics 'change' and even then they don't change as proved by my local councils' disability sector0

Ticketmaster is a dreadful "company" - If you google them you will find a plethora of complaints ranging from monopoly to privacy violation. There is no accountability within this organisation and I do not think you will receive any response from them if you write. If there is ever an alternative to ticketmaster - use it! Rant over.0

I've been buying tickets with ticket master for 3 years. I've had about 50 pairs of tickets from them and NEVER had any problem. When I had a problem with over charging on my Credit Card I phoned them and it was sorted with no bother. They put the money back on my card that evening.0

Never had a problem apart form the one time that you had a problem!!:rolleyes:0 -
A further warning about Ticketmaster and also Tesco Visa.
Last November my daughter ordered and paid for tickets x 3 @ £40 each for an "Eagles" concert, at Manchester's MEN Arena, tomorrow evening (21st). A Tesco Visa credit card was used.
Middle of last week, no tickets so e-mails were sent to Ticketmaster. One reply only saying they will e-mail the tickets. Further e-mails sent to them advising this was not practical or acceptable and to post the tickets. No response to these messages.
She 'phoned them on Sunday using an alternative geographical number, (free with Primus) fortunately. 12 minutes "on hold" then after explaining the problem was cut off at 15 minutes. Further call, again on hold for 10 minutes and was told tickets had been printed on 14th June but they didn't know if they'd been sent!!? If they don't arrive by Tuesday (today) give them another call. All absolutely unacceptable and giving the impression of a totally incompetent organisation. At time of writing still no tickets.
As a precaution, and to make sure Tesco Visa were aware of the problem in advance of the concert date, she 'phoned them (again free through Primus) advising of what was happening and to warn of a possible claim off them for the money paid. Apparently they are not liable after 120 days, this is what they said! I don't know if this is correct for all Visa credit cards but beware. Another example of where using a Tesco Visa card could be useless and offering no protection is in paying for a holiday say 6 months in advance and the company go bust or don't fulfil their obligations, there is no comeback on Tesco Visa - which is disgraceful in my opinion.
Sorry for the mini novel.:rolleyes:0 -
Can anyone help/give advice please?
I bought 2 tickets for Robbie Williams through Ticketmaster last year- £98 in total(!!). I had just moved but since I had not yet managed to sell my house, my mortgage and offset bank account still held the old house as my address, despite me living 200miles away in rented accommodation.
I stated to Ticketmaster on ordering that my billing address was different to my delivery address.
I arranged post redirection through Royal Mail.
However I have now discovered that:
a) Ticketmaster will only use the billing address for delivery for 'security' reasons
b) Royal Mail post redirection does not apply to Special Delivery
c) The new owners who bought my house a few months back with great animosity and who caused never-ending problems have signed for my tickets (I have seen the signature on the post offices Tracker page) but say they returned to sender and left a very threatening message stating I must not contact them about this again..
d) Ticketmaster say they do not have the tickets and it is no longer their problem (when I EVENTUALLY got through to customer services) and I should ring the police claiming fraudulent activity. Since it is standing venue they cannot reissue tickets or refund them
e) Royal Mail say that for Special Delivery anyone at the address on the envelope can rightfully sign for the tickets on the first attempt at delivery, and ID is only requested for the 2nd attempt (??), and the last track they have is the delivery to my old house.
So now with 3weeks to go, I am without tickets and without anyone accepting responsibility for them.
Any advice???

We bought tickets for Paolo Nutini in Edinburgh. They arrived and a few weeks ago. I didnt pay much attention until i got a pre-recorded message on my phone to tell me that an error was on them The wrong date, mines were dated for the 29th, not the 26th. Lucky i phoned up. The help was shocking, i had to send the tickets back at my cost to get my new ones. No sorry etc. Shocking. I hope i dont have a mix up when my Roy Chubby tickets comes.0

Just to add my 2p worth....
Where possible I buy all my tickets from Ticketmaster. I have just received my tickets for MotoGP for 2nd July. I have never had a problem with them.
Trouble with this site is that you only *mostly* hear of problems with a company so I thought I'd praise them
I've never had a problem with them delivering tickets either but I just cannot see how they justify adding £18 in fees for 5 tickets to a childrens show giving all proceeds to local cancer charities (not the £18 part obviously). £18?? Only one debit card transaction to process, only one stamp and only one envelope.
It's a monopoly and in any other industry it would be stamped on by the OFT.0 -
I've had nothing but hassle with ticketmaster. I purchased a VIP package with them back in April for a concert this weekend as I couldnt find tickets anywhere else.
I called them monday this week to be told to call back Thursday (concert is Sunday), when I call Thursday I'm told that an Account manager will look into this for me and would call me back within 2 hours...Quel surprise - no one called. So friday (today) I call again to be told that the person "didnt update the history so there's no record of our conversation taking place"
I'm then told after being put on hold for nearly an hour that my tickets had been signed for by someone I'd never even heard of! They're now apparently looking into who signed for them!
I'm absolutely fuming that I pay out nearly £400 for a supposedly VIP package as a treat for my mother, and it's now ruined by Ticketmaster and their incompetent couriers who can only tell me they're "looking into it"
I can't believe that in this day and age they can be allowed to rip off customers of hundreds of pounds :mad:0 -

How do you know it is them that is ripping you off hundreds of pounds? If someone else has signed for and nicked the tickets how is that Ticketmasters fault? Surely it is Royal Mail's fault?0
