The issue I have with TCB is that its quick is tracking and paying small amounts of about £5-£10.
I have found anything over £5 does not track. You raise a claim for missing cashback, which states that manual claims can take extended time from the advised confirm/payment times shown. This means payment could take 6 - 8 - 10 months from purchase.
Increasingly cashback sites have become pointless for me. As MSE advises cashback is not secure so now I find I use price comparison a lot and simply go for the best value without counting any cashback discount. Even, on insurances, phoning and negotiating the lowest price.
Until cashback site find better tracking I will be more direct with internet purchases. Maybe it is the massive jump in browser inter-connections over the past 8 - 10months that is confusing the situation.main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0 -
so can you use topcash when you use paypal to buy stuff from private sellers on ebay. that is worth knowing.
also is topcash only for debit card payment or can you use your credit card to shop e.g. on amazon.
may set this up
thanks0 -
after all the hassle i've had with quidco over the past couple of years, i made my first purchase through TCB last night and it tracked and confirmed in under 12 hours .. it was a bingo promotion as well, which Quidco are notoriously problematic with so needless to say i was rather happy0

I need to submit a claim for almost everything except Simplysupplements (tracks after a couple of hours) and ebay (tracks after a couple of days). They seem to add Tesco within a week of submitting a claim .0

after reading a few pages of this thread, i suspect mine tracked and confirmed so quickly because it was one of the 'featured' retailers in the gambling section
just keeping my fingers crossed it pays out equally as quickly0 -
My experiences with TCB were initially good with tracking fine. Unfortunately upon trying to claim my cash the story was rather more interesting. Firstly my payment request was simply ignored, sat there pending for over a week. When I dropped support a line, my account was terminated with no email communication whatsoever. I then contacted them and they respond with:

It does appear that the Top CashBack account in question has been terminated by our system, which does indicate that there may be evidence to suggest that our Terms and Conditions have been breached, relating to multiple/associated Top CashBack accounts.
Muliple emails later I am not progressing. I have given up and am trying my cashback elsewhere.
I shall be taking further action through Money Claim as I doubt TCB can prove that I have multiple accounts, which I don't.
What annoys me most is the cashback due has been paid by the retailer so it is sitting nicely in the TCB bank account.
Avoid these greedy crooks or take your chances, having read on many sites, I am certainly not a rare case with a story like this.0 -
I have used TCB for a while now with varying success.
I am not sure i will ever use them again following recent experiences.
I have noticed that TCB sometimes points to its own 'special links' and not the same as direct customers.
In a recent house insurance quote with MORE THAN i discovered that if i used the TCB link i was quoted £314.48.
HOWEVER - if i went direct or via Money Supermarket i was quoted £212.14 for the EXACT same policy.
That is a difference of £102.34 which makes a joke of the £50 cash back!
Not all Merchants operate this dual channel pricing so cashback can still be made but you should NOT trust the cashback sites which profit from non disclosed wink wink nudge nudge shady commissions.0 -
Having been a member for probably over two years, I promoted it a lot at uni as I had had a few issues but nothing major and paid on time.
However, they signed up for deals and when they tried to cash out - nothing. They were unable to log into their accounts so communication was not really possible as they had no accounts.
I got the earache for it and followed it up myself on their forum. The usual reply is that look into the matter and resolve it within 10 days. If that is true then why after one member emailed Carl directly (it got passed onto him) and it is now 4 weeks and counting - email was sent on the 30th October. No payment and no communication.
Some more payments from other students was requested last week as I have asked to be kept informed. Guess what - they cant log into their accounts either and no monies have been received.
I now find that I cannot log into my account because I wanted to update the thread on their messageboard. Who knows what will happen next?0 -
I can honestly say I have never had a problem with TCB.
If something doesn't track they always chase it up and payments have been very quick. I have been with them for around 3 years I think.travelover0 -
They are Total Criminal Bas*****. Avoid like the plague. If you do the free offers, they refuse to pay you. When you send them a support email they kill your account totally. Not great customer care. To hell with them... Roll on Quidco and iMutual.0
