Have used Top Cash Back three times in the last year and had money paid out fine every time.0
-
I've now given up on cashback sites (TCB in particular). I'm owed a £50.50 Sky cashback that was due over 10 weeks ago. Payment statistics show they've received two payments since the date of my transaction. I'm constantly fobbed of whenever I ask TCB a question regarding this issue.
I've now vented my spleen direct to Sky. Regardless of how they want to wrap up the ownership of the deal (affiliate, etc) . The customer (in this case myself) signed up to a Sky service on the promise of a cashback amount. So it only reflects back on Sky for welching out of a deal. When my year with Sky is up, I'll be dropping Sky like a hot brick. As a consumer, it reflects on Sky (not the cashback site or the affiliates behind it).
It's quite empowering to buy direct from a company without constantly wasting time checking if cashback is pending, payable, changed its direction and become a monk or decided to go from £n to zero pounds. If I was dealing with a micky mouse fly-by night company, I would A: Put it down to experience or B: Not rely on the cashback spewing forth. But I thought (wrongly) that Sky was a major brand and would be interested that existing long term customers were unable to get the cashback promised.
Conclusion.
Save bandwidth with your net provider and do something more constructive with your time then checking cashback status every week.0 -

I'm with you on this. TCB used to be excellent, but now they frequently don't pay up, and when you query it all you get is excuses. They also seem to have developed a little trick of closing accounts so that people can't get at what they're owed any more.
Best advice is to make a habit of always drawing out what you can - never allow it to build up in case they close the account or go out of business. Another thread on them here:

hi,
dont bother with this site , you use them and they never pay you the commission, still waiting for payments months down the line and they blame everyone else.
they must make a fortune.
they obviously hope you will forget to claim
cash back is just a joke

I've been with TCB for a few months now. Had my first payment of £20 odd through super quick and already got another £20 in various stages. All the times I have had to claim (for the same companies) they have been dealt with.0

I've been with TCB for about 4 years now. Very very happy. Everything has tracked and payments have been speedy....well over £1000 so far.
Long may free money last:T0 -
Needed a new phone and after doing some research found the ideal deal with Vodafone and that through TCB they were doing £150 Cashback.
Joined TCB went through the links got the phone superb......No trace of purchase on my TCB account started nudging etc. Eventually through this forum got this reply.
"Unfortunately it appears that your claim could not be approved. The comment that has been posted regarding this rejection is that 'Another marketing channel was credited with the sale'. This does suggest that your commission (or cashback) for your queried transaction has been credited to another referrer and not Top CashBack, most possibly due to the fact that Top CashBack have not been marked as your initial or last referrer to this sale. Please note that this does not necessarily mean that another cashback website has been involved and this can include entities such as search engines, comparison websites, voucher code websites etc – that may be directly or indirectly associated in some way with this transaction. I’m afraid that the name of this company or entity in question is not specified to us due to strict confidentiality reasons, and therefore we do not have this information to pass on to you.
Please also note that it is very unlikely that this outcome has been a mistake on the part of the merchant or any of the intermediary agencies that may have been used to arrive at this decision as there are robust systems in place to trace back this sale to see as to who has been the last referrer. "
I'm not thick by any means but what the hell does this mean? Who has got the £150 advertised ? OR is this just a con ? Look forward to any comments.:mad::mad::mad:0 -

I'm no great lover of TCB these days, but what they're saying is possibly correct. Unless you clear out all cookies from your browser before you go through a cashback site, it's possible that another company (with another cookie) will pick up the cashback, and not TCB.
The safest way is to use another browser entirely for cashback transactions, and set it so that it deletes all cookies on closing. That way, you can be sure that the only cookies will be those of TCB, and not another company (such as Google, for example).0 -
I have had the odd problem like Capital One not paying the £15.00 for having one of their credit cards, but 99% of my transactions go through fine.0
