I've been having a problem with Topcashback and £30 cashback due from mobiles.co.uk. The transaction hasn't tracked and I'm told that it 'may' be 2-3 months before the retailer starts to look into it and that even then there may be no payout at the end of the process. As yet, I have no idea what the problem is as there has been no feedback from TCB/the retailer though I am very careful about clearing cookies when making purchases through the site.As others have said, sites such as TCB are offering an inducement to purchase goods and then apparently not delivering which is creating a sense of disappointment and mounting distrust. In addition, I've tried to update the feedback comments for this retailer in TCB's forum to alert other potential buyers to the issue but my several (reasonable, calmly phrased and factual) attempts to do so have mysteriously not appeared on the website and I see that the last - positive - comment for this retailer is dated 16 February 2012. Seemingly, only older positive comments are being allowed to to appear and newer negative comments are not being posted.

    Caveat emptor!

I am thinking maybe Topcashback is getting a bit unreliable- they always used to track my purchases, almost instantly, and payup without any further intervention. Unfortunuately, lately, I have had to make at least 6 claims for intervention. Never get an apology nor explanation. What is the matter with this company - is Quidco more reliable?

Same problems here with them - they seem to be getting up to their old tricks again. Tracking problems, then it's the devil's own job trying to chase them up to do anything about it.

Quidco's got better, but TCB's now far worse than it was.

Have to agree with the last two posters. Also, like them, I'm finding quidco much more reliable these days which, given my experince of them, I'm very surprised about!

Thought it was just me - most everything used to track fine - but now it's just one problem after another.

Sounds like it's time to give Quidco another try.

I used Quidco for 18 months before switching to TCB, these are things I've notcied

    Quidco -
Seems to be more likely to track most things automaticaly
    Pay out reliable
    Good staff

    TCB-
Things don't track fast/auto nearly as often - but unlike quidco I can raise missing complaint immendiently and have it put on ice which is great (so I don't have to remember to wait 2 weeks before making claim.)
    Better rates of cashback
    Also great helpful staff
Reliable payout - choice of when/how to be paid is also nice.
Doesn't cost me my first £5 per year!

In summation both are great sites but my preference would be TCB - proividing I raise missing commision complaints withinh 24h of transaction with the option of closing them if CB tracks in the 2 week ice period.

I wonder how much quidco cashback I missed by forgetting my claims while waiting for the fortnight to pass before making them?
  • hi, I used to use only TopCashBack in the last 2-3years and now I started using Quidco as well.
The issue I have with TCB is that its quick is tracking and paying small amounts of about £5-£10.
But when it comes to the cashback of bigger amount of over £100, the TCB doesnt even track the transaction. They dont reply to the queries on time either.
I have missed a massive 2 year Vodafone (smartphone) cashback and now the Sky tv, internet and broadband pkg cashback. But of them had good amount of cashback and I didnt get either of them as TCB couldnt even track it.
I had cleared all my browser caches and restarted browser before I went and placed the order.
Quidco has paid me about £40 range cashbacks, though I havent used them for over £100 cashbacks yet.
