Theres's been a lot of complaints both here and the ebay community boards abot my hermes. So I would do some research before using them
Anything around the 1kg mark its normally cheaper to use RM

After a shakey start i really cant fault them. Over 100 parcels sent and i haven't had a single parcel go missing, no undeliverables/returns. I previously used DHL and they didnt even achieve these levels!
It's horses for courses - find the courier you are happy using at a price you are happy paying and thats half the battle won. I'm sure if my local collection rep wasnt punctual i wouldnt be using them - i'm sure they have reps that are better than others.
yes, sub 1kg, RM are better on price but not on sub 2kg.0 -
I have found reading around that my hermes seem to have more complaints than others bar parcel2go recently. Another was has just appeared

I must admit though I have never used myHermes but all these comments have put me off. To tell you the truth I have never found a courier that I have been really happy with. I seem to end up going back to Parcelforce or the RM. As much as they have their problems they seem to be far more reliable than most couriers IMO0 -

Personally I think you'll be fine with Interparcel. We've used them in the past with no problems at all and the UPS service has been mentioned quite a few times and always positive. I've heard claims can take a while if something does go wrong but always pack things properly and all should be ok.0 -

I've never had any issues with Interparcel, and UPS are my carrier of choice, if that helps. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Interparcel have great reviews, but I myself am going to use others simply because they're cheaper. As long as you package well, the item should get there. Also, have you noticed how many tracked mail is lost? Ive not noticed one to be lost at all0

Has anyone had experience with DHL of checking parcels?
I booked through parcelbee yesterday, have used them loads of times, normally PF but this time DHL - not a problem to me as used DHL loads of times too and always happy with them.
Anyway, spent a good deal of time carefully wrapping the contents and securing the BIG box!!, DHL chap comes and said that he has to unwrap the parcel and check the contents to make sure its not prohibited items - I asked if this was new as never ever had to do this before and he said it's standard practice - I queried what would happen if I wasn't there(which I'm normally not and any parcels are left in a pre-arranged safe place where they also leave my parcels) and he said he wouldn't have taken it.
So he then proceeded to tear all my careful packing apart, unwrapped the contents said yes thats ok and I had to repack it all up again, he said at least you'll know for next time to which I replied, yes, not to book through DHL again!
So is this something they have just started to enforce or have I just always had lazy couriers that cba to check it before?
I'm a bit annoyed as I like either DHL or PF but I can't risk booking with parcelbee now incase they send DHL and 9/10 times I'm not here when they collect.0 -
I did post a while back but avoid Smart Courier, I paid over £7 for a 48 hr delivery with "smart tracking". It took nearly 7 days to delver and did not show tracking properly until the day its delivered
Comms were bad with the co and I was left with an unhappy ebayer0
