Ooooo, would that be R******l beds (sorry I refuse to name them) - the same as all your other spam posts?

Yer i laughed as well when i saw all the posts that this new member has made on the same day as joining.......really

But what made me laugh the most was when i went to the parcel site they suggested and got a quote for a parcel 1 cm x 1 cm x 1 cm 1kg the price was via UPS and was £5.95 + VAT @20% so total £7.14 , but there is more + the residential delivery charge at £1.83 + Vat so the total cost for me to send a parcel from my home to my sisters home (5 miles away)(ps we live in southampton not the highlands of scotland) is £9.34 inc VAT ....
    Points to take on board
iF you are going to post here at least make sure you have something to offer as the company suggested does not....

  • Does anyone know what a 'My Hermes' delivery operative looks like? - No? - Me neither!

I have been unfortunate to have made 3 purchases from suppliers using Hermes. - One an Ebay seller, and most recently twice with 'Amazon'. - All deliveries have failed to arrive.

Perhaps Hermes is as welcome as Herpes?

I have wasted over 2 hours today online and on the telephone chasing an order that their local driver just cannot be bothered to deliver. - He has usefully switched off his phone, so all calls go through to voicemail. - Well it is a Saturday and there are the Olympics to watch....

Amazon offer free delivery, but by using Hermes, what is the cost to them in terms of lost business and loss of goodwill? - I NEVRE have this problem with PLAY and the like.

Cheap is good, but Hermes push the envelope in terms of using monkeys and paying peanuts....

One of the online rating forums speaks for itself. - My Hermes got 1.4 out of 10, and I think that was people being generous.

My Hermes? - A waste of money, time and space.

I have had the same issue, i wanted to buy an ipod for my mum in spain, but no carrier would insure the screen part in short.

So in the end i worked out that the only ones who will insure ipads is apple , so i bought it on line from apple spain, who delivered it with out issue.

I know this aint really going to help you as i am guessing that yours is staying within the UK and yours is secound hand,

With that in mind if you really have to send it bubble wrap it like crazy , i mean crazy. take photos as you are packing it, then a doubled walled box. then send by i would say parcelforce , cheapest is senditnow.com who are owned by parcelforce so claims are faster ect.I do really think it if it was damaged and you have enought evidence they would pay out

    good lick.

You can call them on 08448 005997
Or use the contact form just put 0 in the box for the parcel number.

I used GWIZZ and now got an email from them saying as the actual width of the parcel was 1cm more than I stated they want to charge me almost £40 for it! Ironically enough the height of the actual parcel I stated was 1cm higher than it was and I was only going by the dimensions the seller had provided me.

I'd rather not use them again, anyone got a recommendation for someone who can send an amplifier for me? Value of around £1200 and weighs about 20kg.

    lol :)

Yer iam not Gwizz's greatest fan either, i was charged for two failed collections when i was in.

With regard to your amp, i would use a carrier direct , instead of a reseller, as any claim would be easier dealing direct with the carrier.
    I know that

    Interlink Express/DPD. http://www.interlinkdirect.co.uk/
    UK Mail
    http://www.ipostparcels.com/
    Parcelforce
    http://www.senditnow.com/index.epl
    DHL Express
    https://www.dhlitnow.com/tws/

All have websites that anyone can order from without needing an account.

    Hope that helps

Odd as i have used the number before, maybe change the drop down box reason why you are contacting them, i tested it last night and it worked

Ps bad point about them is they will take up to 48hrs to respond.
