I need to send a small parcel to Argentina. It's under 1kg in weight and large letter size (approx 35 x 47 cm + v small height). I don't really want to use royal mail airsure as I've read bad reviews and this package needs to definitely get there as it has personal belongings/effects.
Who's the best and cheapest to go with? I don't really want to spend too much.
Edit: I've got a quote for £36.45 through transglobal via DHL air express. Can I get any better than that? Ideally I don't really want to spend more than £25 (quite unlikely I know).0 -

Hi, it depends upon what the weight is under 1Kg and how small the height is. 1cm or 5cm etc?0 -

Just thought I'd let you know of my very negative experiences of Worldwide Parcel Services (WPS).
1) Arranged collection on Monday. Didn't turn up.
2) Arranged collection on Tuesday. Didn't turn up.
3) Complained bitterly. Promised a collection on Wednesday before 11.00AM (we were going out). Didn't turn up.
4) Cancelled order.
5) 2PM courier rang us asking where the parcel was.
We have in fact wasted 2 1/2 days of our time with this organisation. A consumer group's free legal services suggested we ask (not unfairly) for some compensation. The director of WPS has emailed saying that by using them we are bound by WPS's T&Cs - no compensation would be considered.

Which courier did you use through them , because when I've used them with DPD and DHL they've been good?0

They used DHL. As I understand, DHL then use Yodel for the final link. The Yodel driver who rang us then explained that this sort of thing always happens. Fact is, when we had enough of WPS and cancelled the order, Yodel still arrived for pickup. Obviously a comms problem at WPS or DHL.
As an ebay power seller this experience has shown us not use a courier service who farms out to DHL.0 -
Yodel are DHL, DHL in the UK was bought out by Home delivery network to form Yodel, you should've had an option of which courier to use, depending on where you were sending it to you could have been able to choose between TNT, DPD and DHL0

There was a problem a while back in the early days of DHL and Yodel integration where the Yodel bit was erratic to say the least.
Recently they seem to have got there act together in my area at least.
My last collection by WPS was by DHL and the info from WPS that came with it said
"You will now only have one DHL driver collect all your DHL bookings which will include Worldwide Express, Economy Select and Domestic (UK to UK) "
and when the driver arrived it was the "proper" DHL express chap who is ultra reliable. He always comes at the same time. He was going to be late once and DHL office rang to say he will be there but a bit late and not to worry.
.
I cannot see any booking agent paying out compensation. That is an unreal expectation.
Youve had a bad experience and feel sore but it might not be in your best interest to write off DHL and WPS forever. I have no problems with them.0 -
I've got 2, 10Kg 45 x 45 x 45cm parcels to send to the same address. Parcel Monkey price for 1 parcel £5.85+VAT. So you think 2 parcels would be £13.70+VAT, right? Wrong, 2 parcels is £15.16+VAT.
Am I missing something where they add an extra 73p per parcel for sending 2?
Confused... I am.
Update: Tried it again this morning and it's not doing the above now - sorry about that.0
