Good evening!
I've never used a courier before, and would really appreciate some advice please. I'm selling a 3kg item on eBay (UK only), and the end price looks to be around £200.
Initially, I looked into using DHL Service Point (£16.95) (nearby). However, I'm now not so sure as the Rymans staff were totally unfamiliar with the process (I took in a printed copy of the steps from the DHL website with me, and it just didn't register) and they told me their insurance would not cover an item worth more than £100. I want to make sure this item gets to where it's supposed to, in once piece, and if it doesn't, that the value is covered!!
Can anyone help at all? Many thanks0 -
If you use the https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk mail bag rate it would be £4.85 + VAT + £2.50 insurance next day.0

Hi
I would appreciate some advice on a parcel I want to send in the UK. It is a laptop worth around £300, to be delivered in a box the size of 45cm x 45cm x 17cm and weighs around 5kg. I would like to cover the value of the laptop if possible. If it isnt possible, then so be it

I doubt DHL had any right to charge you anything, you've not formed any contract with them; beyond that it seems awfully dumb of them not to offer you a decent price to get the job finished.0 -

Many thanks for this - I should have mentioned in my previous post that it's a Mac mini, 23x23x23cm. Would this change your opinion of what courier to use (for instance, I noticed Interparcel economy (UPS) mentioned in a later post for a laptop).
Also, another question, if I may - if something were to go wrong (i.e. not delivered, damaged etc), even though I'd have gone through ParcelMonkey or Interparcel, my issue would be with the courier company themselves? Sorry to sound thick but I just want to make sure this item gets there! Many thanks0 -

Have a read of this post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=47723703&postcount=2397 that i made a few days ago - it applies here.
If you have a problem you will be dealing with the booking agent not the courier.0
