    Hi All,

I'll be using parcels2go in the next day or so to ship a laptop. I work in a business park so the question is do these parcel companies pick up your parcel from your place of work (office) or do they only pick up from home?

they will pick up from any address you give them.

Hi, the only thing I can think of that may suit you is:

Not every one likes Parcel Monkey, mainly because of their support, but it's a very good price and may suit you...

Let us know how you get on.
Thank you. Do they insure the good inside?

£20 value is included, more can be purchased. You need to read their terms and conditions especially re activated sim cards and note the max value of mobile phones covered is £250.
It can be difficult to prove claims for damage from ANY courier, claims for loss are easier to prove but you need to be able to prove the value of the item you have lost and this might not be the sale value of the item.

    Hi

I usually get quotes off three companies - parcel2go, parcel2ship and interparcel. I find these 3 consistently cheaper than the others mentioned on this forum, but then I do only send parcels under 30kg.

I have had a problem with a late delivery by parcel2ship, but their excellent live online customer service was very helpful and sorted it out immediately. I have used them since, many times, and had no other problems.

One point I need to make though is that I work from home and late collection is not an issue, so maybe these services are not suitable for people who have to book time off work.

Also, sorry if this has been mentioned earlier in the forum, but I don't really have time to read 51 pages of replies.

Good luck folks. All the best.

Tried following review from moneysaving expert website. Have been in the house all day and at 9pm - man with Volvo turns up to collect parcel claiming delayed because children sick today. The nearest I got to a response from myhermes was an automated reply saying query will be dealt with within 2 working days - 2 hours would be reasonable I think!

I sympathise with the man & I'm glad parcel collected. I've told ebay customer at 8pm that there was a problem with collection! However, I'm really not sure I will use company again if this is how their collection network works - just not professional enough for me.

I have used TNT via a discounted carrier to Finland. Much better.

Just a warning to those (like me) who have used the MyHermes discount CLTNS11 for 25% off various times, MyHermes are going through some 'account management' at the moment and phoned me up and gave me a bit of a telling off (I have used it 20+ times, so fair enough).
I only used the voucher as it made MyHermes the same or a smidge cheaper than Royal Mail, now it's full price I'll be using other couriers like Royal Mail, Collect+, parcel2go etc. The service was good though.

thepackagedeliverycompany.com will do it for £19.00, they seem to do great deals with great service (you can also use discount code MANTRA for parcels leaving the country)
