It would help if you told us which criteria you think you are outside.

Size and weight is under 2kg and under 61 by 46 by 46 cm and you are a small packet.

Re Myhermes. I sell a low value item that costs me less than £3 on ebay, which weighs just under a kilo, for the last year I have been sending it 1st class RM costing £3.35. Rarely did they arrive within 2 days. The last one I sent with RM, on the day the prices went up, cost £3.71 and took 6 working days to arrive.
Since then I have sent 9 parcels with Myhermes, everyone has arrived within 3 working days, the last even being delivered on Good Friday, which strictly speaking was two working days. I can keep track of them and I now know when they have been delivered, rather than rely on feedback to know they got it, which buyer don't always leave for weeks. Oh and I no longer have to drive 2 miles to the Post Office most days. I take things as I find them and so far I can only praise Myhermes.

I do not think you will find anyone who will insure the monitor part. You can reduce the risk of damage to a very low level yourself by packing the item very well indeed. Get it to the level where you can drop it from shoulder height onto a hard floor and you stand a chance. Double boxed with 150mm of packing all round should be the very least you do.
You can reduce the risk of loss by using a first division carrier - you know who they are.

    Thank in advance

    Interparcel £19 + vat
  • I would strongly recommend that you don't use Interparcel as 3 in the last 5 collections from me have failed to collect, one was a 48 hour service (collection delayed by a staggering 9 days!!!) and the last 2 were on a 24 hour delivery using TNT.

You have no compensation available to you should they fail to collect, no doubt they themselves won't pay the courier for a breach of their conditions.

But meanwhile you pay for a 24 hour service that you don't receive and get no calls, no compensation and a lengthy bill whilst on hold to a premium rate number, unless you use the non published 01293 558872 to call them, only to be told unfortunately our terms and conditions don't allow us to compensate you.

Personally I'm fed up of shabby customer service, no matter how polite they are...and I'm voting with my feet and going elsewhere!
