Thanks for replies. I'm getting a £19.95 cheapest quote from parcel to go. Does anyone know about a company called collect my parcel, they are using DHL, TNT etc and are only quoting me £8.95.

Hi, yes we use them for virtually everything. They have good pricing up to 30Kg and the best customer support we've found.

I've actually used GWizz today, but tbh it does put me off when a company spams a formum to drum up business.

Just a quick update to let you know that I used collectmyparcel.com
They charged only £8.95 for a parcel up to 30kg, deliver by DHL, using their 48hr service.

The parcel was picked up from me at 13.08 hrs yesterday and delivered this morning at 9.08 hrs, fully tracked.

Well done collectmyparcel.com - excellent service!

It seems that the market is getting very saturated now. Only the cheapest, and the businesses that were in here early will survive imo
  • I need to send a parcel weighing just under 6kg. I dont have a printer at home but can get my husband to print a label from work if necessary. Do any of these companies allow you to go back in to print the label AFTER you've booked the collection? Or where you can save it as a pdf or something so I can email it to my husband to print? I also need a service where I can specify an AM collection service? Am I expecting too much?

Most resellers will allow you to re-print a label (may need free registration) but even if not you can print to PDF instead of a printer by using software such as the free Bullzip PDF Printer, then email it on. An AM collection is pretty much out of the question at a reasonable price (even if offered it is not guaranteed), but if you live near a depot for one of the couriers, you may be able to drop off your labelled parcel yourself. By the way, not all services need labels, though it does remove another excuse for not paying compensation should the item go astray.
