We often have banana lollies in our house
Best peeled before freezing, cos it's damn hard to peel them when they are frozen.Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -
Just wondering when the bananas are defrosted would they be alright to use with custard or best used in cooking do you think?0

I freeze bananas in two ways, I peel them and either slice them and use them in smoothies (if you add them to milk and whizz them in a blender, it comes out like a cross between milkshake and smoothie). Or, I cut them in half and then just before eating them dip them in melted chocolate. It sets really quickly, and if you put a lolly stick in before you freeze them they make great healthy choc ices. When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0

Don't worry! I freeze my bananas in their skins all the time, much easier. Just take them out of the freezer about half an hour before you use them. Just cut off the end and squoosh them into the mixing bowl/blender 3 of these make a lovely banana loaf and just one added to other fruit will make a lovely cold smoothie. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

You can freeze whole peeled bananas then put them in a blender with some berries for instant ice-cream xx1 John 4: 7 & 80

Hi skintchick,
We have an older thread on freezing bananas that might give you more ideas:
Freezing bananas.
I'll merge your thread with it later as it helps to keep all the suggestions together.

I didn't know this, I will now freezze them instead of flinging them, great that'll save me trying to eat 6 bananas in one evening because I hate throwing things out now. Banana lollies sound fab too!One day I might be more organised...........
