:) I've only been here a wee while, but I'm pretty sure that no one is going to be disgusted with you - you seem to be punishing yourself enough for everyone :p We all make mistakes! Lynz is prob just dealing with her own stuff...

I'm hoping for a bit of ticking off and bit of support in equal measure when I inevitably make my mistakes :D

    hi all!

haven't posted for a few days. really needed to go away and regroup and try to haul myself back onto the wagon. at the minute i'm only barely holding on being dragged along by it.

had a friend over this weekend. spent about a fiver just getting juice and snacks. watched football and free trial dvds, so a pleasant weekend.

locksmith coming out to fix/replace front door lock. £65 down the pan. hopefully i can get it back from the leaseholder.

got another £400 to take pff bclycrd account. so that's good...at least it's going down.

i'm really worried about myself when we go back out to work. i spent the last few days off the boards just contemplating this and wondering what it would take for me to decide to be less social and why can't i stand to not be the most popular person in the group (the one who always goes to the pub, who buys drinks for everyone, who's always up for a laugh). i was wondering what is that constant need in me for others' approval. i'm still working on it, but before i get to the core of that problem i am trying to devise a plan for not spending too much money when i get back to work. any suggestions would be quite welcome.

may also have to take a trip to germany in september. (another potential spending disaster).

so i'm trying and being tried and really trying to hold onto my goals.

hope everyone is doing well today.

Hi well in 1 month you've knocked off £3500 maybe you are trying to tighten your belt to much and it just keeps sliping a notch, maybe losen it a little and then you won't slip making you feel better about the fab work you have done so far,

Your a star and I think its fair to say all you have spoken to on the forums think your really nice, positive and helpful person,

    Keep it up!!

I guess you have hit the point that I have hit and I know others have as well

Seems to go a bit like lightbulb moment/ finding the site/ posting SOA
then mad flurry of activity of changing suppliers, chopping back chucking cash at the debts
then a sort of emptiness, as most of the "doing" is over, and its just you vs your impulses and its actually quite void at times, and that can make you feel like you are failing, even when you are still paying off and throwing cash at the debt.

I think this is whats meant by some as the "long haul" Ive struggled over the last couple of weeks, and I now have just 76 to last me till the 20th. However, OH is buying the food next week, so I guess thats not THAT bad, but Im still gutted, as I would have liked enough for a haircut at the end of the month. Sadly it aint gonna happen :(

    awwww brranger you're very kind...

lynz, that's exactly what seems to be happening. the actual slowing down of progress. i can't seem to be able to do more and then i'm sabotaging myself as well.

well i guess we just have to keep on keeping on...

    OK,

It seems like you are punishing yourself still over this booze slip last week?

If you are, deep breath. these are the sort of actions you used to do all the time, am I right? Now, you know you shouldnt have, but so what? An extra week on the DFDate? Possibly.Dont flaggelate yourself, its really not worth it.

We have some stuff coming up in the summer we want to do. However we know we are simply not going to be able to afford to do it, without some SERIOUS effort

In order to clamber on the wagon, why not start the benefits challenge or cash in your £2 against your debt?
I find a harsh kick up the rear end and facing the breadline makes me much more savvy and much less wasteful??

little update. not much happening today. another no spend and lots of time watching the football. waiting for the brazil match tonight...should be exciting.

leaseholder came by and gave me back the £65 i spent on the door locks yesterday. that went straight back into my bank account. so i'm glad i'm not out of pocket.

nothing interesting in the mail. hoping list of ddebits to switch to new account comes soon so i can organise this. another no spend day for me today.

hope everybody has had a good day today.

well it seems as if everything has come to a screeching halt dfw-wise for me.

got the new account. got my salary going to it, but they haven't sorted the ddebits i want to move yet. was a bit premature i think, now i have to transfer money back to the old account to make sure the ddebits that are staying and the ones that are yet to be moved get paid! oh lord...

only one of my six items sold on ebay. then hubby left the bag with some of the stuff out when we stepped out and little furry grey shadow got into it and chewed up some of the stuff. so can't even relist them.

got my first mystery shopper thing tomorrow. can't wait...AQA answer question thingy going well as well, already made about £200 with that, so hopefully will double that by the end of the month and will throw that at a credit card.

went to the doctors today. haven't been able to breathe too well for some weeks now. it finally got really bad last night. luckily doctor would see me today. ended up spending about £30 on different inhalers and stuff. i'm kinda okay now.

put a free £5 skybet on Trinidad and Tobago beating England in the match tomorrow!!:D i know it's unlikely, but hey... i've got to believe...

    (*ducking for cover*)
