Yes I know...I know....I was only in John Lewis in the first place due to the Lewis voucher I had previously earned via Pigsback...! I was going to try & save for more vouchers but I think it'll take ages to get another one.

Anyway, I wanted to get some more knickers from Lewis's today with my free £10....! Got some of those lovely little "hot pants" / shorts type so no VPL under trousers :o

Sorry was that slightly too much information anyone? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

How is everyone doing today? hope you all are having a wonderful dfw day today.

i've just been to sains - walked there and back which saved on bus fare. spent £17.23 (had to get dog food and toilet paper - big purchases, also bought my first bottle of stardrops) and also 99p in a store to buy some caribbean produce that you don't really get everywhere (plantain, eddoes, yam). walked back with it all in a backpack, so good exercise and money saving!

just got off phone with London Underground who will be refunding me the cost of a 1 month travel card (£89) which was on an oystercard which i lost the same day i bought it. this of course will be going onto debt repayment.

after paying in full and cancelling my cap one ccard, i get a letter from them telling me that i've missed a payment. what is wrong with them. I've ripped up the letter. but will call them (freephone number) to make sure that the credit card was cancelled.

right that's it for me so far!

Could it be interest that you had to pay still on the capital one card? I had another bill after I cleared in full- could be this?

Good to hear of your successes!

i've checked with cap one, letter sent out on 23/05, payment rec'd 26/05. So it's all fine and dandy and closed. still waiting letter of confirmation from them. but no longer have online access to that card because it's been closed, so at least i know it's been done.

on another note i won 2000 pts on pigsback from the crossword!! i'm soooo chuffed. problem is i don't want anything right now. so i'll leave it there, until i need something. hope those points don't expire (must check)

also sent an enquiry through quidco as my £50 for opening the a&l account hasn't tracked yet. (they said it would track a couple days after opening the account.) i hope they don't give me grief!

and the employers from the old job i did on saturday called and said they would pay me £500 for the day (which will be about £400 after i pay my agent and NI), that's coming off my barclaycard as well!!

won't take it off my signature until i've paid it tho'
