why is it credit cards are happy to take your money out of your bank account, but have to wait a couple days before they apply the payment to your balance.

Sorry!! It's all about being able to justify it to yourself, maybe you just have more principles than me For me it would be like sticking two fingers up at the debt management company but if you felt uncomfortable with it then you should stick with your original decision.
Maybe Martin could put on the weekly money tips as a poll? "Would you take this job?"

I'm so proud of you for not taking the audition. I've walked away from many job interviews where the role didn't meet my personal beliefs, and never regretted it.

PLUS you'd see yourself on telly all the time and be so depressed you'd done it every time you saw it!!!

i just thought that we're signing petitions to get CV to stop doing those ads, what makes it okay for me to traipse off and do it.

cancelled insurance on vgn ccard. poor girl was in absolute shock. she says nobody ever calls to do that. it's done now. that's less £30 coming out of my monthly payment that doesn't go towards the debt.

Well done on getting started so well! And for not doing the advert...while 1800 would be lovely for paying debts off you would always know that you are helping someone to get themselves into debt so well done you on saying no!!

melabarrie I just wanted to add my two penneths worth and say that I am really pleased that you didn't go for the audition, I think that was an extremely brave thing to do.

Also, I sponsor a little boy too in India and I have always said I would have to be virtually homeless myself before giving up sponsoring him. Whatever we go through is nothing compared to these innocent little 'uns eh?
