Getting out of my comfort zone

Have had a weird day. Without it being TMI, I have a phobia about being sick, so that added to the problem as every time I felt queasy, I panicked.
Went back to bed for a while, felt a bit better, and have been really careful what I ate. Just bland, and no dairy.
My new iron is awesome! Makes ironing so much easier. Not that it will ever be my favourite occupation, but I'm getting more done in my half hour stint.
I have been reading MG's book and letting my mind wander, thinking plans through etc. so need to start putting things in writing. I then picked up a catalogue which came with DS computer parts and what was the first thing I saw? Some sort of tablet gizmo that you clip your paper onto and write with a special pen and it gets stored on your computer, and transcibes your handwriting. Its a want, not a need, though. And it won't work on my little laptop.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

THAT sounds nice.... maybe not a need, but you have worked really hard this year, so maybe you could have a word with Santa (and just buy it!)
I think you deserve a little treat0 -
Read the last post first and then went back and read about the iron :rotfl:
Good for you :T I'm over 40 and have only just owned my own wardrobe, after years of using a clothes rail
I have to say, once an iron gives up, it is soooo much harder, so it must feel like a breeze with the new one!
Hope you're feeling better this evening x0 -

I just plod along with it, some of the challenges aren't something I relate to, and others are,so I pick and choose. I know thats not the intention, but it works for me.
Spent some time last week emailing mg as was working helping to make her spreadsheet slicker, but sometimes had to pm her to let her know she had an email.
mac, you're right, you don't realise how bad an iron is until you get a new one. And nothing sticks to it either!
Off to work early today, and have spent a fruitless 10 minutes looking for a black t shirt. How can clothes disappear? Not that I haven't got plenty of black tops and trousers, its just this particular one. I've looked in the washing and the ironing and the stuff on the chair in my room. Maybe, just maybe, its actually in a drawer or a wardrobe
Have a good day all

Almost got stuck in traffic tonight, only 2 miles from home. I got some funny looks from other drivers when I turned into Morrisons car park, as it leads into a council estate. Fortunately I worked there for years so know that you can shoot through the estate to the airport road and cut out the dual carriageway.
Watching old Doctor Who (not really old, just DT) while typing this, as I can't find anything else to watch. The more channels the worse it is, if DS moved out I'd have to cancel them all as he pays for them.
Another NSD other than car parking. I have my official contract for new job, with work until April and have agreed to do some hours each week for current job until Christmas, so will save the extra and decide what to pay off.
A good day really.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Have spent some very annoying hours on the phone today trying to sort out some of the stuff for new contract. Rang the company that used to be my umbrella company, who are now (temporarily anyway) acting as my accountants and found that I haven't been set up properly in their system so all the stuff I have sent them has not been used to generate any records for me.
Very apologetic manager on the phone, but its me that will pay HMRC the fine if its wrong. Just as well I've got copies of everything and have it all worked out roughly anyway.
And I only rang to ask about allowable expenses for working away from home - didn't realise what a can of worms it was going to be.
Tea tonight is cheap and cheerful pasta with tomato sauce and a load of veg, really got to lose some weight as at least 2 pairs of black trousers are a bit uncomfortable. I haven't eaten chocolate for weeks, feel like I hardly eat at all, but its just not shifting.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

That's a bit frustrating....lucky that you had the copies. Well done for being organised.
I know what you mean about losing weight - it's not easy is it?
Hope you have a relaxing evening0 -
Yike! Thats dreadful! No way would you pay that fine, if thats what happened - tell them that in writing straight away! If he's apologetic, he knows they're in the wrong.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks KC and mac
yes, not only have I got copies of everything, scanned in on my computer, but I have copies of the emails I have sent to them. Fortunately we are in October, so if they file online they still have time to sort it by January, and if they can't find the paperwork I at least have copies. I think you only have to prove you've kept records, so whats on my computer should be good enough.
Technically it is me that is liable, which is why I've kept my own records, accountants are just for pulling it all together in the right order. Once I've been through the process, I may be able to do it myself.
I've overpaid the egg cc this morning, which has put it within sight of being finished (under £500) so will work on that one and the mortgage. Then the last of the cc's in the new year - its vanquis, so I'm in no great hurry, I haven't got the card anymore anyway.
I'll update the sig at the end of the month when I get a half year statement from the mortgage and the secured loan.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
