I've decided to go to the interview, but have a HUGE list of questions to make sure I am right for the role.
BUT.....its a really good career move.
Great that you have decided to go for it and good that *you* are interviewing them to see if you're right for the role :T
Sounds like you're in a strong position and very exciting that it'd be a good career move. You deserve it

I second what macgirl says - great that you're interviewing them as well. From the days years ago when I ran a Community Programme project, thats the kind of interview that the interviewers remember positively.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Have just finished watching The Young Ones were they put people back into the 70's. Some of its probably rubbish, but the idea of mind over matter is intriguing. Kept flicking between that and the footie, about time the Reds had a win.
But we really want the Premiership and its probably not happening this season either.
I have also voted in the Labour leadership election. I've been a Union member for ever but don't remember doing this last time. I might actually show a bit of interest now.
I was awake at 3 this morning, tossed and turned, eventually going back to sleep at 5, which is the time I normally wake up, so feel a bit 'spaced out' , so off to bed. hi gill
interview sounds fab... if you were to rent your house out to your DS and his friends... does that mean you could rent or buy nearer your new job if you got the job?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It sounds OK, but I wouldn't want to be staying away all week and the weekend too. Too much to think about first thing in the morning. Will do some reading up on the company over the weekend. It's also good that the agency have put me in at higher than my 'ideal' hourly rate, because of the distance.
Have done online banking and some scratchies, I DO miss the free bingo, the rules now are too complicated and you have to reach too high a limit before payout. Will give it another go. Need to find something just to keep the odd quid or two coming in. Have some surveys near to payout etc. so should do more of them.
Off to work, hope anyone reading this has a good day.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I watched that the other night, then missed the other 2 programmes, but might catch up with it on iplayer. Yes it is intriguing that they can make improvements - even in their late 80's!
I did laugh at Lionel Blair's disgust at his bedroom "I'd NEVER have had this wallpaper or coloured sheets!" - then they showed the photo and it was an exact copy of his room! :rotfl:
My DH is a Red too - despite being born and bred in London  He was a child of the 70's so they are still The Champions to him.
Have a good day

Hiya, just popping in .... I don't have my tv at the mo, and iplayer actually gave up on me when I tried to watch Total Wipeout, so I'm not a happy bunny - one hour of the week, I'd like to watch some carp tv please!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Gilligansyle
An easy way to make a few extra pounds is doing daily paid clicks on the cash back site speedcashback. It takes about 10 mins per day at the most and is easy to do, i usually do it while watching TV in the evening. They payout each month via paypal - I have earned approx £6.50 per month for the last 3 months doing this.
Hope this helps

Hi thanks, I used to do daily clicks, but so many of the sites stopped paying cashback, I now only use cashback sites if I want to buy something. Even then I get a regular couple of quid from Quidco and I'm not one of the worlds great shoppers. I still do surveys though, because sometimes they are fun.
Picked DS up from work as he got the chance to finish early and I was out and about anyway. He can hardly do his job at the moment because he works on the site where the Lib Dem conference is being held. Part of their job is to glorified parking attendants; not much point doing that when there are Special Branch and anti terrorism etc. all too ready to do it for them. So he's fed up because he just has to sit there doing nothing. Shame
KC - why can't you get iplayer? Or is it because you tried to watch Total Wipeout and it gave up in disgust at you watching such carp!
No point me putting my budget here, as its the same as it always is. Except that I need to allow a bit extra for petrol next week, and I may buy a new pair of interview shoes. Not sure yet when it is, probably Thursday.
I will however list my spends after I've done them. Just to keep me organised. I've done my list for tomorrow, but it is getting daft, because I separate it out into the different shops so I don't forget anything, and then for example if I can't find a particular thing in supermarket, I cross it off the supermarket list and add it to another one.
Debating whether to have my hair cut, its at that annoying in between stage when I can't make it look tidy, but its not long enough to put up.
I've done some of my accounting type stuff, got all my receipts etc. together, and by my estimate, I currently have more than enough in my tax saver account for HMRC. But, I'm not an accountant and only time will tell.
Off to see if there's anything worth watching on the box.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I know Total Wipeout is carp, but I like it! I found it when I had to stay at my sister's for Christmas cos I was so ill, and I've watched it ever since
It kept stalling in the middle of the programme, and then it sort of gave up and went to a screen to test download speeds - it did 3 tests, and recommended that I download programmes before watching them, grrr. I don't know whether its because the phone lines are carp round here (but Virgin said they were new, and the one to my house certainly is) or because my computer's so slow now cos its so full. But something's up in general - I can't even try to do my spreadbetting like this, for instance. I do probably need another laptop..... hi ho. 2023: the year I get to buy a car0
