I used to love ajax, or was it Vim? sort of powdery stuff you scrubbed. It turned blue when you wet it. Actually think it was Vim.savingholmes wrote: »ajax was pretty foul... they used it at school mainly - I think we stuck with jif (now cif)
So far today;- went to have a shower, no hot water; DS and friends had been in the back bedroom and had obviously turned the timer off
- Turned hot water on.
- Checked clothes for today, realised trousers needed ironing.
- Ironed said trousers, saw a piece of black thread and pulled it - now have to hem trousers.
- Just about enough hot water for shower, went to dry hair and hair dryer keeps overheating and cutting out.
- About to have a second cup of tea while hemming trousers. (if I don't do it now,I'll forget until I next go to wear them)
- Sorted lunch for today and tomorrow.
- Got stuff together to ring agency later.
- done online banking and surveys
- filled washing machine, will switch it on just before I leave
- took food out of freezer for DS tea - if he doesn't eat it he can have it tomorrow instead
- Had a laugh to myself over email from DCA

Good grief! I have to confess, I'm a bit slow at the moment, for all sorts of reasons - I feel really dozy not getting up till 7am, tho I know its not too bad really. When I'm ready to start off my financial business again, I'll have to be getting up and really compos mentis by 7, not just staggering out of bed

Hope you have a good day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Head is buzzing with stuff at the moment, need some chill time. Will stick a DVD on in a minute.
Had a few 'interesting' journeys tonight, including being diverted the wrong way up the M6 on a 11 mile detour!
Kettle was on when I got in, so have cuppa in hand. But why oh why is it that if I'm not here, the fish tank light doesn't get switched on and the fish don't get fed.
Early start again tomorrow, but have the afternoon off, and the next day to go for interview.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Great news about the interview :T Hope you and SH had a good time.
Lol at Vim - I'd forgotten about that! Have a good day all x0 -
Morning macgirl - yes had a good time, despite detours etc.
Need to get lots done today, but so far have been awake since 5 and not done much.- Have paid some bills online, so everything left is now mine;
- sent off email from my 'junk' email account to DCA reminding them that they are in breach of all sorts of rules. I *know* you should write, but I won't waste the paper and envelope.
- Emptied washing machine, because the washing machine fairies didn't turn up yesterday
On the good side, mortgage is really coming down, and it's now over 7 years since I left ex OH and all bar one of his debts are now off my credit file,so I can ignore them. That leaves me with an extra each month to pay off my own stuff - could be as much as a tenner.:rotfl:Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Okay
really busy couple of days.
Had my adventurous journey into the world of post codes and Satnav on Tuesday. I still have no idea how I ended up lost. Had a lovely time on my mse visit, and have got seriously back into card making.
Wednesday was in work in the morning, then took the afternoon off, as I was owed so much time from last week. Ideally would have taken morning off, but had meeting to go to.
This morning was up at sparrows whatsit to drive to Shrewsbury for interview. Seemed to go OK. Its a bit weird, because its not an actual job, they have a project they need doing and my ex boss recommended me, so whereas normally you would be asked questions to tease out your knowledge etc. it doesn't mean so much for a temporary post. They basically told me what they wanted and I told them how I would get them there. We generally just chatted about other things I'd done, and people we had in common. Not sure thats the best way to do interviews but it seemed to work for them.
Shrewsbury is, however, one heck of a commute. I spoke to them about it and they seemed amenable to flexible options. Feedback from the agency was very positive, so watch this space
One thing thats a bit odd is the view here in the North about traveling any distance. My brother, who worked in Essex for many years, thinks nothing of driving for hours to get somewhere, whereas I think Manchester is a long way!
Have been making cards, so now have the bug. Also got some kilner type jars in Home & Bargain for £1.49, ready for Christmas.
OK, that's a really long post.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
