My previous post probably sounded a bit OTT.
But I do count my sister as one of my best friends, hard to think we hated each other when we were teenagers.
Today, its chucking it down. I've been up since silly o'clock, have sorted more stuff out for charitising. Found lots of things that I feel aren't good enough for charity shops so will take them to the textile bin at the tip. I've also chucked out 2 suitcases that will never get used again. How on earth did people manage back in the day when you had to lug a suitcase around, and only the really expensive ones had wheels?
I can now see the top of my dressing table! I've got bits of jewellery, and ornaments and all sorts of things I'd forgotten about. Trinket boxes, bottle stoppers, and quite a few glass angels. I think I need a 'car boot' box.
Today am sorting out paperwork, and shredding ( no not THAT shredding!!!)Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

No, it didn't sound OTT, it sounded like you're missing your sister! Even tho mine is geographically only an hour's drive away, now she's in France at the mo, I miss mine too.
We had our rain last night, fortunately - excellent for not having to water the garden and not being inconvenienced by rain!
And I love all the sorting and clearing you're doing - gives you *so* much more space, doesn't it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Interesting day yesterday.
Decided to go out for a while, as I kept falling asleep. Went to my favourite clothes shop (Asda) and bought 2 skirts for work. Same skirt 2 different sizes, and one of them has to go back - because its too BIG!!:rotfl:
So that was £8 spent.
But then later on that night I am now looking at potentially a lot of expense, it all depends on whether the buildings either side of the Tesco that was damaged in the 'copycat rioting' last night, were also damaged.
This is because the studio that DS and his mates work out of is next door to the Tesco, and I suspect his DJ stuff isn't covered for 'civil unrest'. So later on going to go down there to check.
DS was on FB last night and there were so many people encouraging others to get out there and get what they could. But there was very little real information.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

This is terrible so much for Great Britain it is devastating for these businesses especially in this climate I know if it happened to our business that would be enough to push us over the edge we are already teetering on
Hope DS' stuff is safe and sound

Great news on the clothes.

What Squizz said - and well done on the sizing thing, by the way.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I feel strangely happy about something so inconsequential as a cheap skirt from Asda. But its part of the looking professional thing.
Mum has offered to pay for me to have my hair cut, so if I find somewhere decent, I may have the colour done too!
One of DS's mates has just texted to say that the studio wasn't touched. His is the only stuff of value there, the others are singers etc.
The students upstairs where moved out by the police for their own safety, but have gone back in now.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
