Getting out of my comfort zone

There was apparently some sort of admin ****-up, but fortunately someone noticed!
I can't settle to making stuff any more, have just hoovered the stairs to get rid of some adrenalin.
The VAX is now looking at me, as if to say ' go on, you may as well, never know when you'll have time again'Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Someone stop me!
Lounge carpet hoovered and then blitzed with VAX which is now sitting smugly in the corner saying 'told you so'.
Back room carpet is now shouting 'me too! me too!'
Did I mention my lovely friend from Germany is over for a visit? She's come to see her son, and her OH's family really. I met her originally because her Mum and mine were friends and she has taken Mum out for the day before coming to mine for tea. Had a lovely natter with friend yesterday, its ages since we met up, but she was quite shocked by Mum's appearance. I've sort of got used to the fact that she's suddenly got a lot older.
It's raining again, but so much cooler.
Main advantage to that is not for me directly but for Mum.
Because she has COPD, the warm weather affects her a bit like asthma, so its harder to breathe and then she can't sleep. She's slept properly for the first time in ages, which means I don't have to go charging up there to help her because she's too tired to do for herself.
And I've got a parcel arriving soon! The last of my *big* purchases, that will save me money in the long run - some jewellery findings and some 'different' stones. Most of what I have is old beads from old necklaces; these are semi-precious stones, jade and amazonite, so will add a bit of 'class'. Then I can use my amber beads too!
It also means that I can dress up some plain tee shirts to look presentable in my new job! As the only jewellery I normally wear are gold stud earrings ( that I've had since I was 16) a cheap watch and a couple of plain rings that were 21st presents!
So, just in case I *do* start work on Monday -

This is sounding very exciting! Tho I can't get over the fact that you've managed to hold on to a single pair of earrings since you were 16! I've lost count of how many have fallen to bits, or had stones fall out, or I've just plain lost them ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

KC - I've lost count of the number of *odd* earrings I've lost - why do you never lose both? But for some reason, these which are the first ones I ever got, have managed to avoid the usual fate of earrings.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
