Have had a few texts from Dt, obviously she's been really worried, but little one is fine. We will see if we can meet up tomorrow when she's on her way home, but she will want to get back.

I am not visiting Mum tomorrow day, as she's a little better, so some of the aunties are going to go in. I'll just go in for half an hour of evening visiting. Then I can get home and watch the footie. No prizes for guessing which side I'll be supporting.

Well its not really my team, but its *not* Man Utd. It's my 'spare' team, the team I support when mine aren't in the running. In fact I often watch the Spanish footie on a Sunday, as they are so good to watch.

Off out in a bit to meet DT.

    Back later.

    :) I thought you'd be supporting Barca :)

When I was doing matched betting regularly, I only ever used British and Spanish teams - for some reason, the Spanish league really appealed to me.

Hope you and DT have had a good time.

    Hi Gill

Sorry have been offline for a few days - our BT outline had snapped apparently even though the house is only 10 years old!! Sorry you've had a rough few days - hope things improve with your mum soon... Really tough situation to be in...

    Hi

we have been having a bit of a family 'fall out':(

Long story short, brother was away doing Edinburgh marathon when Mum was taken in, then on holiday. But he came back to the North West on Thursday, so we thought he'd go in. But no. He was busy.

Saturday, had a lovely meet with DT and her daughter. She was soo cute - watching everything that was going on. I had parked my car near greengrocers, so did some local shopping and then trundled home. Sister had rung, she was going to Mum's house to wash curtains etc. so I went there, took my Vax up.
We spent the day cleaning, knowing that one or two aunties were going in. Fully expected to hear from brother.

I then got home, shattered, and realised I'd left my glasses behind, so couldn't see well enough to read.

Brother finally visited Mum yesterday, and called at sisters. He thinks we've been exaggerating, Mum seems fine, what's all the fuss about. Because obviously she won't tell her precious son anything other than she's OK, she wouldn't want to upset him. She told him she expects to be home on Tuesday :eek:and he agreed with her that she looked good to go home.
He doesn't see her all the time. He doesn't see how she struggles normally. At the moment, she's still confined to a bed, so is resting. And she still has oxygen. So my sister was a bit blunt with him. If Mum *does* sign herself out on Tuesday, he can go and look after her if he thinks she's so well.

And of course, when I went to see her last night, she was full of how good he was, what he'd brought etc. She is loads better, but still far from well enough to go home without a proper care package.
    Sorry, rant over.

Oh Gill. Sounds like you really needed the rant - and it sounds like your sister was right to be a bit blunt with your brother. It must be hard to listen to your mum singing his praises too .... I get it from the other direction there, about how awful everyone is, but neither is at all pleasant.

I'm glad you had DT's visit to brighten your day! That bit sounds absolutely lovely.
