I think JB should have gone to specsavers lol

Really pleased LH won though - good race enjoyed it :)

Hope you get your phone sorted.

Yep, don't know what he was playing at, he was understandably sheepish in the post race interview. I can't agree about LH - I don't know what it is about him, but he really annoys me.
Good race though, loads to watch, and Webber had an amazing race.

Footie was a boring 90 minutes followed by a *really interesting* chunk of injury time.

Phone still not sorted, new phone arrived, worked for an hour, and then said my SIM was invalid, and hasn't worked since. So a new SIM is on its way. So back to using the phone that NL gave me, with a pay as you go sim in it.

Now something else has broke - switched oven on, and it heated up fine, went to check an hour later and it was barely warm :(, its probably just the element, but I won't be able to look at it until Wednesday night. Hopefully the little electric store on the market will have the part.

Sorry to hear about the phone and the oven - sounds like the element to me, ours went last month.

I agree with you about LH, he is a bit slap-able. :rotfl:

I know what you mean about LH and I could slap him too (not that I would SS if you are reading) sometimes but I think he brings the mothering instinct out in me :)

Sorry that your phone is still playing up and now the oven better get the third thing out of the way quickly.

Argh, lots of electrical/electronic stuff going wrong! Hope you can get it all fixed without too much hassle.

It did make me laugh at myself when I understood about GP and LH and JB ... I've been hanging round with you two too much :) As to LH ... the attitude that precocious win brought about might have something to do with the slappableness ... I must say, he gave me a good laugh when he started humming on his way round the Top Gear track in the Reasonably Priced Car....

Does a flat tyre count as the third thing??

DS has been on the phone trying to work out how to cook his tea without an oven. Ours is a double oven, and we only use the top one as a grill, so he has to work it out. Main problem with it is that a few years ago, something spilled on the hob and dripped onto the knobs for the oven and there are no numbers any more on the dials. With the main oven we have a separate thermometer and use the dial like a clock, so for example we know that '25 to' is 180 C, but we don't know for the top oven so he'll have to guess.

Off to see what's on telly

I feel your pain!! It is so irritating when everything seems to go wrong at once... Hopefully you've now got them out of the way for a bit and things should improve... I am sooooo looking forward to Friday and my week and a bit off!

    Hi SH
DS is going to get the back off the oven and the part number for the element, in the hope that its only that. Last time it went, it only cost 30 quid, and that included paying the bloke to fit it!

Trying to get loads done in work, but difficult as loads of people are off. Next week will be even worse as people have booked holidays and only using 3 days leave. Hopefully there will be some decent weather over the weekend.

Its a bit dull here at the mo, but looks like it might brighten up.

With the oven thing, the knobs not showing the temp any more, I have the same problem - I downloaded the instructions from the net, and I'm going to buy an oven thermometer from Lakeland (they're about £8, I think) and gradually paint the numbers back on. Doesn't help in the short term, I know, but I finaly figured out how to fix it.....

Hope your day goes well, sounds a bit of a tricky one.
