Getting out of my comfort zone

To me it seems a great opportunity to share the work between the 3 of you ... hopefully Mum's spirits will be lifted, though she may being to realise how much effort is involved in independant living. It is a plus that she does not want to become institutionalised - keep breathing
Keep plugging that you do work and how lucky you are to have flexible employer (i.e. you
), but any time you have off is not paid for!

Yesterday was a bit of a wake up call for Mum, so she has asked for an OT assessment, far easier to sort out while she's in hospital. All depends on how soon they can sort it out.
Sharing the work between the 3 of us, is probably not going to happen, various reasons and I'm not complaining about it, because that's sometimes the way things work out. I just don't want to feel its all been dumped on me.
Working today, but will try and work from home this afternoon while the weather is still nice. Washing out on the line already.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Washing machine on
Bread maker on
Washing on line
Bathroom done
Kitchen almost done, just need to do the floor, but have left mop in Mum's, so will have to get down on hands and knees.
Can't you tell it was Australian GP qualifying and I've been up for hours
Sister has had a sort out and has the bottom half of an IKEA dresser, so should be able to find a use for it, even if its only somewhere else to dump stuff!
I've got some big rubble sacks so will have a bit of a chuck out in the yard again - how does it get so cluttered?
Grocery delivery coming early today, so will then go to butchers etc. Planning on spending less than £10, so see how that goes.
Have a good day.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Spend in butchers £4.98, then a paper for Mum, so not too bad on the spends. Trying to keep on track.
Mum was home again for a few hours, and has realised that initially at least she won't be able to cook for herself without help. Even reaching up to the microwave is difficult. So a harsh but necessary wake up call, and I'm no longer on her 'nasty list'. And she's saved a fortune in the last few weeks, as she hasn't spent any money, so got a nice surprise when we checked her bank today!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Hi gill! Oh my word, you've had a lot on your plate since we met .... it sounds like focussing on the spends, and even on work, has been a bit of a relief, actually. And the wake up call may have been harsh for your mum, but it was completely necessary, of course it was ... at 75 miles away, you just can't be there at the drop of a hat, its really not possible.
I'm so sorry the wider family is still creating problems for you - and fancy the hospital not sussing it, you'd have thought they'd be wise to these things. But of course, as has been mentioned on the thread, they're just eager to hear that she's well enough to look after herself, and not enquire too much about it
Hope you're home now, and can relax for the evening (or are you going out?) Anyway, hope its a nice one.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hey gill just catching up .... Im glad your mum had the wake up call it's what she needed and it takes some of the pressure and guilt off of yourself
Please take care of yourself though ... You need to be fit to deal with everything ... Physically and mentally and sometimes that means putting your first0 -

Morning
not sure *good* is the way you'd describe it, but at least there's been a fair amount going on further back; the front is a bit boring.

I've had a few relaxing times, so feeling quite chilled at the moment, watching the GP now, but it still feels incredibly early to be up and about.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
