    Hi SH

you can't beat fish and chips, there's something just so comforting about them. not very :money:though.

I LOVE Flylady, I'm getting the hang of this now and not stressing myself about it, the house took ages to get to be cluttered, so will take a while to un-clutter. No point trying to do it all in one day.

So, bathroom done -will take the old blind down later.
Kitchen - almost done, not quite shiny sink yet, but almost
Washing on line, more in machine.

    Todays plans

    Bits of tidying
    Strip bed
Shopping - local shops, will do big shop tomorrow, have no time today

    :jI'm meeting KC:T:T

She is getting the train from where her mum lives, and I'm meeting her at a station near me. We're going to visit a few places she wants to see, and have a cuppa somewhere.

    I'll re-post this bit on her thread:D

    Have a good day all.

    Hi SH and se

I can't believe I posted on KC's thread and forgot to post on my own, but met up with KC at a local train station, and took her to see some of the places she knew as a child.

We then went to a local stately home and had a cuppa sat in the grounds as it was such a lovely day. We were quite high up and you could see for miles, and although I *knew* that, I had never actually thought about it. I've posted on her thread how it opened my eyes to see things from her viewpoint; I live only half a mile from the Mersey, and take it for granted that from certain points you can see beyond the Wirral to Wales, but she found it amazing.

She is so lovely, and we had a lovely time (well I hope she agrees with that ;))

I left her at the station, and went off to see mum, who is making good progress, so hopefully they will start some rehab next week. Mum *seemed* pleased to see me, so has obviously forgotten that 'I don't care about her', but there were other visitors, so I left them to it.

Bottle of wine is in the fridge, curry in slow cooker, so that's me settled for the next hour or so. All I need now is something decent on the telly.

    Morning

Off to Shropshire today, the sky is blue and all seems right with the world.

Yesterday was a bit chaotic, with one thing and another, and felt like I'd deserted my own son somewhat in the last few weeks. I know he's old enough to look after himself, but he doesn't live in this house on his own and he was starting to feel like he did. So we spent some time working out the order in which jobs need to be done.

Daren't even list spending this weekend as didn't go to cash machine, so have used card, and its far too easy to spend more than you planned.

I'm looking forward to getting annual mortgage statement, so I can update my sig:)

    Hi Gill,

Just caught up with your diary - what a nightmare few weeks you have just had! Glad your mum is doing better, don't take to heart her unkind words (easier said than done I know). Remember to take care of yourself through all this, sounds like you had a lovely day out the other day and its blown a few cobwebs away!

    Take care

Hi gilli, glad you're feeling better about things today. *hugs*

Sorry to hear about your cousin stirring things with your mum, big families are always difficult, there always seems to be a lot politics and hidden resentments that come out at the worst times. My mum is one of ten and you wouldn't believe (or maybe you would!) the way stories fly round and how people are misrepresented for something they supposedly did or didn't say or do.

My mum usually takes a back seat now because she can't stand the bickering and gossiping. Even losing family members doesn't seem to stop it and my mum feels quite isolated as the sister she was closest to died unexpectedly very recently. I just think it's sad when they can't see past all of the she said/he said and just appreciate each other.

I hope you get things worked out in a way that's best for you.

    Thanks BP and sashy

Unfortunately its often my mother who causes the rifts:o

..and there is a storm brewing on the horizon regarding Mum

..I am trying to head it off, but suspect I am going to become extremely unpopular.

My sister has tipped me off about something she noticed when she went to visit tonight, so tomorrow I will ring the ward and check it out as I'm her next of kin, so they'll speak to me.

I won't post details in case it comes to nothing, but I have my suspicions. Someone has been out with their big wooden spoon again
