Getting out of my comfort zone

Thats seriously impressive! I must at least try to grow courgettes this year, I'm so behind on where I *wanted* to be with the house, I haven't done any prep work in the garden, with being ill for so long. Courgettes, in particular tho, they sound like they grow really well, and they can be used in so many ways.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

You sound busy. I am always skeptical about the FSA. I imagine it's like anything Medical where they close ranks and all efforts are futile - until you go to the press. So good luck with that. I think they rely on most people being too busy or apathetic to complain, so I hope you get a positive response.
I like the idea of gardening today, but it's pouring down here, so I let the plants have a drink instead and tackle the weeds and pruning tomorrow
Have a good day0 -
I'm sceptical about them too, but at least I'm going through the motions. What is the use of having a complaints policy if they blatantly ignore it. And yes, most people probably don't bother, but this particular issue is costing me money. You sound busy. I am always skeptical about the FSA. Well now I am up the weather is not so good overcast here hoping it will brighten up this afternoon so we have had a change of plans OH has gone to do a hospital visit and when he gets back I am off out to get some bits for Sunday School and then hopefully when the little one has his nap this afternoon we can both tackle ouside jobs - we have had a glorious week though.
Also ordered the stuff to fix the fence which is arriving on Monday  to the cost but it has to be done and the paint for it has been bought out of the weekly budget the man who is going to help DH is coming next week so it should be done soon but it is a very long fence 47 panels  another reason why a smaller garden would be good thankfully not all of it needs repair about 10 posts need replacing but the whole lot needs painting - both sides
but DH and I will do that between us.
Oops sorry just realised this is not my diary

I wrote "sceptical" but stupidly took note of the Americanised spell checker on here and changed it! Grrrrr
Hope you have returned to Zen-like calm now too :A0 -
Americanised (americanized) spell checkers! How often do I find myself yelling at the computer 'this is England, why would we want z in the middle of the word.
Not quite zen like calm as DS decided that once we'd been to the tip, he would make a start on the landing. Cue mutterings and grumblings as he put stuff in the loft.
Glass of wine in hand, rice being cooked, stir fry veg to be done.

I've been pruning! Tho in my case, it was the ivy at the side of the house, that was threatening to cut the path width by half, and make me not want to go out there at all. I've got rid of quite a bit of it, and found that the top weatherproofing board of one of the panels has been pulled off by the ivy, or its collapsed or something - I'll need to do something about that in the next few months.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It's a bit brighter out today, so will try to do something 'proper' outside. Have cleared loads of rubbish, and got rid of that weed type stuff that grows everywhere with little purple flowers, not sure what its called, but it starts in the wall and takes over.
Lots of pots got smashed during the high winds, as they were all in a sort of terracing system. Will use them for drainage if I can.
Washing out on line, here's hoping.
KC I remember a neighbour years ago moaning about ivy and saying they couldn't get rid of it, as it was probably holding the house up.
SH - don't try and do too much, you need to get well first.
Spending yesterday was really good:-
Butchers £5
Netto £8
Poundland (drinks for DS) £3
Today though will be spending a bit as doing roast dinner, friends coming round later. M&S is calling me. Don't have to buy wine though, as still have plenty from Christmas, thinking of baking, maybe....Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
