Hope you can get some sleep tonight, gill.

Awake at daft o'clock again, but feel as if I've had some sleep.

Proper electric showers vary in price, and as we have poor water pressure, as upstairs is not fed from the mains but from a tank, there are some that we can't have. S*ds law says that we probably can't have the cheapest ones. For now, have bought a hose £4 and a new shower head £3.80 from Wilko's, so that will have to do.

Off to Cheshire job today, its starting to get me down a bit as I don't feel I'm getting anything done. Manager used to do the job I am doing and wants it done the same way, but I don't work like that. I like to work with people to make changes, not just put them in and be done with it. Ah well, I thought this job would be over at Christmas so its been extra money.

I have to buy a new shower head at some stage, actually, or change the settings on the shower tap or something - when the water comes out of the shower head when its up on the wall fitting, it just comes straight down, doesn't actually *shower*.

I'm glad you've had some sleep, but with that sort of working environment, its still tough.

hi Gill I like doing new things putting new processes in place - after that I must admit I can get rather bored... I am not very good at following other people's rules but like people to follow mine LOL

    morning

shopping list only has a few items on it, so hoping for a quiet day today. DS is going to help me get the yard clear, get rubbish down to the tip etc.

Have fired off a complaint to the FSA about my lender. I wrote to them in November to complain about something, and got a stock reply that they would respond within 28 days. In January I wrote, chasing a response, and again in February so now I can complain about their complaints procedure.

    Off to do some housework.

I can *so* relate to complaining about the complaints procedure - thats happened to me about a locum GP I saw, and about the dratted mattress firm. On the other hand, I wrote to my water company about something piffling - not even a complaint - and they didn't reply within their stated response time, and a letter turned up one day saying they'd credited my account with £20! Very patchy service, but very good on that occasion :)

Hope your day *is* nice and quiet.

DT - if you've got any nice weather can you chuck it our way please, its still a bit overcast here, but may brighten up.

My little seedlings on the window ledge are doing well.

Oops, meant to be doing housework. Bathroom done, kitchen sort of.
