Getting out of my comfort zone

Will sort money stuff out later, but haven't spent much today, and what I have spent can be classed as 'business' so can be dealt with. I really need to keep the 2 separate in my mind, as well as keeping separate sets of bank accounts etc.

Internet in hotel was a bit hit and miss last night, so gave up, no better this morning either. But have been doing some work on thinking about how to get where I want to be. Mainly prompted by DS announcing *yet again* that he's packing his job in. He works 12 hour shifts, and unless he gets a lift, is out of the house for over 14 hours. He earns decent money, but has no time to spend it, or is too tired, and at 23 he deserves more of a life than that. It wouldn't be so bad if he knew his shifts in advance, but he can't plan anything.

He reckons though that it will help him focus on his music and his Dj'ing. He has got some contacts to do workshops for young offenders etc. so may look into them. So maybe his promise to be a millionaire by 30 may yet work.

I'm really tired, so will go to bed soon, will catch up on diaries later, but have read DT's latest news and tried to post but the silly computer died on me. So if you read this DT, "you can do it"

    Hiya

yep I love my sport, but it comes at a cost, but thankfully not to me. DS argues that as he works long hours he needs his Sky sports.

I've had a bit of a sort out, I think it comes with trying to find space for the Christmas deccies, and there are loads of bags for the charity shop.
Spent money today, on a pair of shoes for work £12.99, not what I really wanted, but mine fell apart!

I've been thinking about some of the challenges I set myself elsewhere and need to think about how I'm going to get there:- so will carry my MP3 player round with me, there is a mix of stuff on there, my Spanish language course, my couch to 5k and of course just music. Weird to think that not that long ago, a portable CD player was a good idea, now you can carry all sorts round in a box small enough to fit in your pocket.

If the weather's OK at the weekend, will blitz the yard. See what survived the snow.

just lost a post, that's what being tired because of staying up watching cricket does.

    Well done!

Have done online banking, accounts looking OK, fairly certain I've got too much money in the tax saver account, but would not like to owe HMRC money. First of this months overpayments to the mortgage, only £20 but every little helps.

As for my cash, still looking healthy, need to take cash out of business account to replace money used, will get the diary out later and work it out.

And....DS gets paid today, so his keep will be going in at some point (when he remembers to do it!)

Have a good day if you're reading.

Just watched the sports news on BBC1 ...

p.s. Have you ever thought of said charity shops for new shoes??? They do get lots of brand new shoes which are impluse buys and then when people clear out (probably lots doing this around now) they get taken to the shop. You could always have a jaunt out to Alderley Edge ... I can recommend the shops there (I could even pick you up on't way thro' :) so you'd only have to get a single ticket back home!!!)

I had a rotten nights sleep so had the laptop by me to keep up with the cricket scores. I don't have sky at home, but we do love our sport, so I have pomised DS that if I can incorporate it easily into the budget for the new house we will consider it this year.

I have kept up with the first 4 tests for the Ashes online -the bbc do excellent ball by ball commentary, but the 5th was a pain because it was only available to UK users, and I am currently in Switzerland, meaning all I could do was refresh the static "current score" page.......not quite the same!

But, whatever, the boys did what they needed to do,......and winning the ashes is a whole lot better than just retaining them :D

Lots of Barmy Army sore heads today and tomorrow I reckon!

I love that name, the barmy army! Well done the lads, absolutely :)

I'd never thought of charity shops, even good ones, for shoes, I must say - but there is one very good shop I haven't looked at yet in this town, so since I have to go in today anyway, I may do the extra and give that one a go.

Gill, well done on the overpayment, its a start, of course it is, and on carrying around the mp3 player - I got one from qype ages ago, but have never learnt to use it, oops. One more thing on the list for this year.
