Mooooooooooooonday ~ Kitchen and Dining room!DONE:j:j:j

    Friday ~ Bathroom and Study
    Level One
    declutter floors
Scrub the bath, loo, basins, bidets, showers etc etc
    Level Two
    Empty and wash out bins
    Scrub tiles and polish mirrors
    Vacuum/mop floors
    Level Three
    Extras
    1. Clean out and tidy cupboards
    2. Replace and curly toothbrushes
    3. Shine the taps with one of the old ones
    4. Check all the smoke alarms.. don't forget all rooms with high sleepers in MUST have their own alarm in!
The bathroom can wait until tomorrow. Gonna crack on with ebay and get kiddies to bed.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
  • lil -me - I made sure we only put the uninky shredded stuff in and it seems at least as soft as their usual sawdust so hopefully it should be fine. I have put some of their sawdust in and some soft tissue paper too which they seem to like ripping up for bedding.

I am amazed how much they can hold in their chops for such little guys. I put nibbles (the fat greedy one!) in his exercise ball the other day and after a minute or so I cold hear all this rattling. When I checked, he had spat a huge mouthful of hamster meusli out :rotfl::rotfl:.

Toots - I have finished the bathroom including tackling all the grot bits in the shower cubicle (hair clogged shower trap blurgh) and under the loo seat with a toothbrush :D.

DS2 has just gone to the loo and my OH is about to get a shower so my gleaming bathroom will be shortlived.
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j

    Evening All.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Froddington-what time are you planning on meeting next week?
lil-me- just to mention that there is a glitch with the Soap and Glory at the moment at boots. If you spend £12 you get a free item but it is deducting £6.xx when you put free item in your basket so you only need to spend £6 odd to get the free gift Hope this helps some of you.

  • [FONT=&quot]Just had HHC, whilst the F1 was delayed. I decided to tackle the bathroom and it's all sparkly now! I also angled my telly in the bedroom so I could watch the F1 whilst I was cleaning the loo! Still loads to do though...

FedupandS - you've done really well today! Go you! :T
Lil-me - I immediately thought of Hillary's Blinds via Quidco - I used them last year when I had the patio doors done. Booking an appointment gave me £10.00 even though they couldn't quote. But, I've just checked, and it's now down to 10% off, rather than a straight £10 for an appointment - what a shame!

Re the shoes - I feel I should qualify why I have so few and why I hate going out to buy some. It's just I have a BIIIIGGG problem with static electricity. I have to buy clothes in natural, rather than man made, fibres and similarly, shoes need to have leather soles/uppers or one or two particular types of composite soles.

I cannot wear shoes with rubber soles. If I do, I basically get so statically charched my heart races, my hair stands on end and I get static shocks off everything I touch. I like to say I have a magnetic personality!

mumofjusttwo thanks but looks like they have fixed it :(

soappie, I might ask them, unfortunately they tend to only be competative when buying lots

As for why don't I have many shoes......no space on the shoe rack for DPs :rotfl: plus I hate shopping in person & with shoes you have to **cringe** go into a shop and try them on
One day I might be more organised...........

Went to farm shop... took friend, then took her to the village butcher as well, as she's been having trouble finding a good one (she lives 5 miles away). Then fell over and sprained my ankle, and grazed my knee

Went to Bicester via pharmacy, dressed my knee, strapped up my ankle and stuffed it into a sheepskin boot! It hurts when I try to lift my toes, but I can stand on it.

Got three new suitcases in Bicester - all for work, obviously! Couldn't face clothes shopping as it was heaving! Went to Lakeland on the way home and got lots of bits (probably unnecessary ones, in which case they'll be going back next weekend!). Also saw this top, which I really like, but infuriatingly now can't remember what size fitted

It was dark when I go back, so washing is still on the line and can stay there till tomorrow... one load of washing has been sitting in the machine all day so will be creased, but I'll bung it in the TD and may iron it later if I'm feeling energetic!

Suppose I should finish unpacking my shopping, then I need to rest for a bit before making my bed.

Good to see everyone has had such a productive day. And great news about Mudbath's DS!

greenbee I nearly passed out in shock, £72 for a vest :rotfl: but it does look nice. Can you order a few & return what doesn't fit? Hope your knee and ankle are ok soon, sounds ouchy.

Emailed 3 ebay sellers who make blinds, see what mad price they come back with

And it's waterproof, windproof and warm :D and its quite flattering too ;) But I need to sort through ALL my clothes, make lists etc before I buy any more clothes. I have lots of suits, quite a lot of other work clothes, lots of stuff I can wear if I'm not going out in public, but nothing really for socialising/going to the shops without scaring people!

Good idea... do you think I'd remember to return it though? :o

I plan on using my injuries as a way of getting out of going to the gym tomorrow :p I suspect they'll be recovered fairly soon, and I have a physio appointment on Monday anyway.

Good luck with the blind hunt!
