I've filled a large binbag from the airing cupboard FLING! :j found a pile of towels and sheets AND a pair of curtains that will go in my room, I'd forgotten all about them
that's saved some cash :money: not lined which is what I was after but they're better than nothing, they need a wash tho. Gonna wash littleys pink fluffy rug I'd just bunged in there months ago, it may as well be covering up the stains on her bedroom carpet that wont come out, it will do till I get a new one for her. Found a SNES which we're hoping still works, best nintendo console EVER :T we're gonna test a DVD player that was in there too but sure it's broke. Got tool boxes and paint for the porch (shed) some stuff for the skip too, yay! you know what, I've discovered that when all the crap's gone there's quite a bit of storage in this house, the airing cupboard was like a black hole - the stuff just kept on coming.

:T:T:TWooooohoooo I am so very pleased!! After a lot (!) of saving and selling things I had the loot to have my stained glass door panel (back door) restored, and it has been fitted this morning. It looks wonderful and I will soon take a pic of it and try and post it here via Photobucket (not done this before). I bought this panel something like 24 years ago, and the first 10 years it looked lovely, but then the original lead started bowing outwards, a few bits were broken (holes) and I had to tape with black tape to stop it falling outwards and to stop the wind whistling in..;)
At one stage I thought I could do a course to mend it but in the end it got so bad I knew I had to get someone in who could do it professionally. He had to plan the colours a bit differently and some I vetoed but others were even better than the original. It is an Art Nouveau panel and gives the whole kitchen a tremendous lift. Can you tell I am happy?
That really was the reason why I have been trying to give the kitchen and dining room a deep clean... Sad really, but I feel quite emotional:D!
I will do an update of list soonish.
G&B and Boddy healing vibes to your DD and GS respectively. Hope they will both be on the mend.
Sexymouse glad you had a better week

Afternoon all,
I still have about 10 pages to catch up on so when pick of the pops on R2 finishes and I stop prancing round the the living room like a reindeer on on acid whilst doing my polishing, I will make a cuppa and catch up.
I think I might actually earn a star or two this week as my house is looking almost passable!Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Well done MadMadF - I loved stained glass and have two or three bits of it in my home
Well, trip to the dump done, DS and DiL's old room bottomed out as best it can be so I'll have a Tuesday star please Toots when you have a moment.
However, sadly, I've decided it really needs completely redecorating before DD moves in there so guess what I'll be doing in my spare time! I need to start with the ceiling first then work my way down. ~sigh~I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Afternoon ladies
I have finally done something after sitting around in my dressing gown until 1 o clock
I have gone through 2 drawers in the side board (Hubby cant find something and of course I've moved it!) and FLING went a load of old paperwork and crap going back to DS Junior schoolhe takes his A levels this year.
Have walked the dog down to Mr T to get some milk, and snacks for DD to have at her sleepover tonight. Also got a yellow stickered rib of beef that will do for tomorrow's lunch.
Came back and have washed up breakfast things  (DH made pancakes for DD).
Just going to have a quick cuppa then off to friends for a bit of a booze up and abandon the daughter :rotfl:.
Love ang big hugs to all that need them

just got the bathroom to do today. The challenge now is to keep it up when I am at work next week. (methinks star status may be short lived!)
Right, I have had a shufty round my freezer and the contents are as follows:
hm mutton curry
hm tomato soup
2 whole trout with herb butter (not sure how long they've been lurking!)
tilapia fillet???
kiln roasted trout fillets
2 chicken legs
2 chicken breasts
veal brisket
2 pork steaks
3 packs of steak mince
1 veal escalope
frozen peas
I have slumped into a bit of a recipe rut lately so would appreciate some ideas to use this stuff up before I stock up for Christmas:oTwins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
