  • Hi all - I've had a busy day today. We went to look at the flat we were thinking of buying - then quickly changed our minds - whoever had it before had done loads of botched DIY, loads of electrics hanging out everywhere, new flooring just placed on top of old carpet etc. You would have to strip the whole flat out and start again - not what we want to do!

Afterwards we came back home and filled up the car with stuff for the tip and the charity shop. I'd never been to the tip before - I really enjoyed it! And we got rid of a massive old telly, old hifi and some horrible mirrors which have been cluttering up the flat for ages. We dropped off loads at the charity shop as well... Then went to tescos and popped into b&q on the way home to buy hooks, a new plug and a jacket for the hot water tank. Phew! I've not done that much flying today, but feel great for the declutter - so glad the telly's gone! Just watching the F1 and then later Strictly, but might do a bit more if I get restless.

Hope you've all had a nice day!

    xx

The girls are tidying their room.. I told them I'll decorate in there next if they get it tidied and told them I have a plasterer coming to give me a price t do the wall on monday.. it isn't true.. but I am ringing one to come at some point this week..

The boys are tidying their room.. or they are meant to be.. the silly noises sound more like they are piddling about than tidying.. they have been promised a bigger screen for their Wii IF it is tidied.

I am tidying my room and the landing and keeping an eye on the childrens tidying.. I have removed 2 cupboards from my room and restacked some heavy crates and put in the new bedside unit in place of my old one.

oh poo.. it is impossible to type as I have a kitten asleep on the keyboard.. back later...

A massive collective effort from the Triker household means we've almost but not quite completed the lists, :j:j:j:j

All been really busy today so tonight we're going out for a meal to celebrate and say tarah for a bit as we go away tomorrow.

Also done, been through all 7 bags of mine and been thorough and ruthless and binned all useless items.

    Same with clothes.

    Same with shoes.

    Also cleaned the chickens out.

    Suitcases packed.

All christmas pressies suitably hidden away from rooters.;)

Just need to get my paperwork together and money sorted and overnight bag packed for hotel.

Been through the underbed drawer and cleared that, dusted and wiped.

Everything put in its rightful home.

Toots so sorry hun, I checked that lampshade today as was trying to get to the post office and the blooming thing is missing the bit that attaches it to the light. Bum, so its not really any use I'm afraid. Sowweee.:o

Mudbath so glad you son is feeling better, hope his recovery is well on the way.

GnB, hugs to you and yours sweetie, really hoping your LO fights the pneumonia off, healing light and love heading your way.

Poohbear, hope you feel better soon hun, sounds like those meds are very strong.

Oh, and Toots - when you have a moment, I have actually achieved the final stars this week so I have a full house - first time in ages :T

boddy put up the info of how to sponsor you please :) something I have seen first hand was the lack of this at the Freeman when I was in for my liver & a lady who was from Carlisle who had not seen her family for 8 months, then when Matthew was in & his parents struggled for something like that. Parking of course is the other nightmare.
toots pleased to hear you had such a good time
embb !!!!!! sit diwn I am tired just reading that!
poohbear ((hugs)) know how unsettling new meds can be
embb towels & sheets might be worth seeing if one of the rescues want them, I do that when I find it hard parting with stuff I find it easier to know it's going where needed
Mudbath great news, pleased to hear he's 'bouncing' back
prettypennies make sure it's not sharp or got load of ink for hamsters, they put it in their mouths unlike chickens etc

For those not on facebook I am looking for a roman blind probably needs making to measure due to size not just off shelf....because we have realise we won't be able to open the fitted wardrobe/cupboard door once the new ones are in :o . Needs to be a 120cm wide by 245cm drop (4ft*8ft ish) if anyone knows where I can find one/get one made cheaply. As my Dad seconded on Facebook :o yes my Mam & Dad & both their partners are on there now which will be fun :rotfl: me & textiles don't mix or I'd make one. I have decided not to go to caravan as we have so much to do & my back hurts, will be going next week for half term before it comes off the site to go back to storage.

Shoes, well my partner has more than me....mine are

    Comfy daily black laceups
    Heels.....not very high for suit
Leather pumps 1 with little heels 1 without
    Boots to go with suit
Trainers - 1 to wear 1 boxed for when they are worn out as on bogof
Ankle killers - high block heel going out shoes worn once a year if that, owned for 9+ years look new
Walking boots 2 pairs as forgot mine on a trip to lakes so they stay in caravan

2 sets just got kast few years when needed suits, pre that 1 shoes 1 trainers 1 going out 1 walking boots was my lot. DP has about 15 pairs of trainers, then shoes, boots etc....oh £2 crocs style shower sandals for caravan do they count?

Just realised today it's half term from next Friday, last year I was close to being finished Xmas shopping by then :( I am not organised & no savings as it's all gone on furniture etc, poo! Sexym has just reminded me I have £50 M&S vouchers from Sky so that is something...other than that I have the following without allocations to people

    2x Sanctuary toiletries set
    1x bottle whiskey

Need to get my calculator out and thinking cap on.

Toots when you have a mo can I please have 3 stars :) no L/R or kids rooms done but have done the rest, bedroom was easy as we had to take everything out :)

Tonights list - empty 3 sets of drawers (some going to someone on freegle) clear landing so we can move drawers around, tidy/clean kitchen again, unpack a few more boxes if I have time. Oh and sleep, I am shattered!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
